Hey All
I have been looking all over the net for some bags but I need some suggestions. I am going to be using my SV as my commuter vehicle this summer so I need the extra room since my tank bag just isnt big enough and I dont want to have to reach over a larger one.
What does everyone have? How do you like them? WHere did you get them/how much?
Thanks
PS I dont want the straps to go over the seat so my wife can still sit on the seat comfortably.

I just got the Cortech saddlebags for my Sv. The strap goes under the passenger seat, so no owies for your wife. Haven't road-tested them yet, as I havent had a need, but so far they are pretty good:

Those look quality thanks! Do you know the exact model?

I have the same Cortech bags which might be slightly visible in the photo above. They were called Cortech "Sport" saddle bags when I bought them a bunch of years back and I topped them off with the matching Cortech tail bag as well. Good quality bags with expandable storage. They stay put really well during normal riding conditions. I've had them shift while riding steep dirt roads and had a rain cover come loose on more than one occasion at speed. So, if most of your riding is done on the pavement on dry days, you'll be as happy as I have been. Mine were purchased from EBAY but I can't recall the cost.
I use the Oxford bags on my SV:

I cant remember the model name, i got them used on here. I think maybe "sport" still, Cortech doesn't make too many.

How much are you looking to spend? Go with some sideracks and a couple of Givi cases (E21's if you want a basic, small, waterproof case). Commuting, touring, weekend trips; no rain covers, no routing straps, doesn't interfere with passenger pegs....then if you don't want them, take the entire rack off and you've got your sport bike back

I bought these from this guy... smokin deal IMO, they came in yesterday and they should work out very well... and they are expandable to a fairly large size
