    Interesting Break I n procedure

    Certainly there is great debate on proper break in. Lots of folks say its overkill, and just ride it like you stole it blah blah blah....

    Well for the 1098R and the desmo the dealer is required to break the bike in for the customer and then change the oil at 50m or 70m and deliver it like that.

    So do they break it in on a dyno or on the street. What do they do with the odometer? Reset it?

    I think that the Heat Cyles, and dumping the oil early with heavy throttle is the way to go..

    Yep. Heat cycles is exactly it. Hit it hard, cool it down, repeat that a few times, change the oil and ride it like you stole it!
