I was going 23mph through the center of Chelmsford with a cop that had been following me for a while... He pulled me over and said I was up to something wrong because I was driving so slow (aka the speed limit)......
Ended up getting in a traffic accident with an un named officers daughter that hit my car from behind and was mailed a ticket from him for reckless driving...
Got a couple other incorrect tickets then got a lawyer and went to court.. Got them all dropped and two officers suspended.. I should of tried to get my attorney fees ($1400) paid but I dropped it..
I had six tickets from two cops.. All of the tickets had my race down as "white" and that is incorrect.. It was "alleged" that they have been ticketing "minorities" as "white" to keep the percent in check.
Always fight a ticket..

Sorry about the ticket bro. In all seriousness though if your looking to trade your street bike for a track bike I have a 2002 Gsxr 600 completely track set up with brand new tires and chain with a clean title. I could throw in some cash to make it a fair deal. Let me know if you're interested.
That's a uhm, chipmunk BillYou're gonna get fined for hunting chipmunks instead of squirrels
So KB you saw your speedo reading about 44 and copper says he got you at 44...your speedo is near 100% accurate? Gotta GPS? Go check it, see how fast you're really going at 44. Then see what your speedo indicates when the GPS says you're going 44. I think you'll be a bit surprised. This is of course if you haven't added a speedo-healer or anything to recalibrate it.
I mention this because I once went by an officer with 53 on my speedo (uncorrected), In a 50 zone. Factoring in error, I was below the speed limit. When he pulled me, the lying piece of shit told me I was doing 63. He fed me a few more lies, which pissed me off and I about yelled at his stupid ass along side the road.
You know what though, with speedo error....even if I had 63 on my speedo I would have only been doing 56-58 mph.

We all have five choices. PBA stickers on the bike. Learn to run from em. Learn to fight em in court. Slow down. Carry five C-Notes to unfold from around your license when you hand it over.
Pick one.

I agree, no need to turn a violation into a beating from the cops when they catch you and an arrest you.
It's not even that, unlike most of these officers I am mature enough and respectful enough to stop immediately, turn the bike off, take my gear off and not to make any sudden movements.
The problem with this world is we are giving these officers more and more power to "protect" us and they are doing nothing of the sort. Instead they spend a majority of their time harrassing good taxpaying citizens trying to get to work in the morning. Sad.
Tickets are given to correct bad driving behavior. Believe it or not, it works.
Ever get pissed when sitting in traffic on the interstate that makes you WAY late for work? Ever wonder what causes those accidents? I know you're thinking, some dumbass not paying attention. How bout speed or tailgating? Now what if that person was stopped a week before that was speeding and caused the accident? They probably wouldn't have been speeding and not caused the accident and you'd be to work on time.
You know the number one answer I get when I stop someone for speeding? I wasn't paying attention. What causes accidents? Not paying attention. See a correlation here?
GO ahead with your BS responses about how it doesn't work and I'm full of it but welcome to my world of dealing with speeders and careless driving and accidents and good people getting hurt because someone else was speeding. Oh yeah, but speeding in a school zone couldn't possibly hurt anyone.
I applaud you saying that you were going to just pay the ticket but this statement makes me angry.
Bras cause cancer.
What makes me angry is a *%&# sitting in his cruiser hidden and watching a line of cars go by ALL of which are going the same speed. He then watches another vehicle tailgate a motorcycle (not dangerous or anything no not at all) and the motorcycle for self preservation puposes accelerate away from the vehicle and continue with the line of traffic. He then pulls out and follows said motorcycle 4 or 5 cars back for a 1/2 mile AT THE SAME F$*&#*# SPEED THE REST OF US ARE GOING. Then throws on full lights and sirens rips around the cars and TAILGATES ME as I pull over (again not dangerous or anything). Did he give me a warning and say "hey be careful the speed is this in front of the school, I know you were going with traffic but try to keep it down." No he had the ticket ready to go and that was that, he was waiting for the ticket so he could fill his quota for the month and keep going.
It doesn't work, it doesn't work at all, sorry you are full of it. What you're saying is simply a justification officers give to do nothing rather than something.
Sorry to get defensive but it pisses me off when someone comes in here and tries to justify the bullshit that he/she pulls when wearing a badge. This ticket is just another example about that.
Again silly silly justifcations, start looking for real criminals, not good tax paying citizens that bust their ass and give %25 or more of their salary or income tax or whatever to PAY YOU TO DO NOTHING, or bother the very people you're supposed to be protecting.
So when that car hits my back tire and I go down and get run over on the way to work then what happens? Why didn't that person get in trouble for driving recklessly?
I read your thread highsider on being good to cops and such and I supported everything you said and defended you when people tried to flame the thread on cops. I have ALWAYS been kind, polite, and respectful, more so than I probably should be to people that ARE NO DIFFERENT FRO ME. You are a citizen of this country just like the rest of us, stop acting like the badge makes you better.
Sad.
I have never acted like a badge makes me better than anyone. I understand you might be upset you got a ticket; dont flame me for it.
My thread wasn't about "being good to cops". It was suggestions on how you might catch a break if caught speeding. Being polite was one of my suggestions, but people can do whatever the hell they want.
You still haven't answered any of my questions - were you, or were you not speeding? Is that cop's job, or is it not, to cite people for speeding? And are you special in some way that should prevent you from being cited for speeding above other people?
From what you are saying, it sounds to me like the person with the entitlement issue isn't the one wearing a badge.

"fuckit!"
I'm not going to keep arguing with you because you prove a true cop mentality of I'm right, your wrong, surrender. I've never met you, so I don't want to judge you, I'm saying officers in general act this way. If you are of the very few that are stand-up guys that truly work to protect and serve, kudos to you, you're one of the few.
As to your questions, I have no idea if I was speeding or not, as I said in my first post it was my first time EVER on that road. It WAS 40mph coming into town and I was riding in a line of cars going the same speed as everyone else. The traffic slowed slightly but we were still going 35 someodd miles per hour. I re-adjusted on my bike and upon slowing down had some asshole crawl real close to my rear tire. I rolled it on a bit to create a few car lengths of separation and nothing more. I hit 44 miles per hour in my little acceleration, I know, I looked right at the speedometer and rolled off because I didn't want to be speeding.
What I am entitled to is to be protected from asshole's that tailgate motorcycles, that's who the cop should have pulled over and cited that person for speeding, and then for endangering other motorists. Maybe then not so many of us would get picked off by cars. Instead he pulls me over further demonstrating to all the cars that were in the line, and who then passed me when I was sitting on the side of the road. That motorcycles are the problem.
I'm not trying to flame you, but your logic doesn't make sense, and if that's the logic officers are using then that's the reason crime rates are so high in this country.
