Ha Ha .. Made ya look..!!
No nakedness here..
Question thats been on my mind..good weather ridding is comming soon. and I was currios what people carry under their seat for emergency or on the spot repair for the weekend rides.
This is what I carry in my 05' gixxer 750
Tool kit that came with bike
extra allen for seat and plastics
roll of electric tape
10 mm box end wrench
assorted sizes of zipties ( 15 or so)
registration ins. and maps in a zip lock bag
6 or so pieces of solid copper electric wire, insulated and bare about 20 in. long( tie things up) like twisty ties(can take heat)
Small tire plug kit
$2 in quarters for air machine and a $20 for unexpected
leatherman multi-tool
$1 orange rain poncho
all that and a small Gatoraid under the rear seat
used the plug kit 2 times one year, second time I had a hard time getting quarters for the air machine,
What do you carrry and why..

Get out while you can
Find your own path
Plug/patch kit, metric Allens, OEM tool kit with some upgraded tools
Sounds like those Gizzers tend to break down alot.

I envy you folks that can put things under your seat. I don't have a "trunk" of any kind anymore.
All I've got is this useless hunk of carbon fiber sub frame...

Used the plug kit twice, The second time I was some where in mass in the middle of nowhere, plugged my tire..out side air pump, station was closed and had no change on me..Reason for quarters
copper wire saved me a ticket, a leo giving me a hard time about plate location,, To far under for him..strung it up with wire..he was just being a d*&%head
Bike is newer FI,it really doesn't breakdown,, thank god..

$20 and a factory tool kit about fills my underseat storage area. I *think* the registration is in there too.

26xxx ridden hard and put away wet. Stored out side more times than i care to admit.
I lost a rear wheel bearing at 15 or 20 thousand miles and limped it home 30ish miles. That is the only issue. Well other than my own stupidity lol
I still keep tip-ties oem tool kit plus decent wrenches and alens. Plus a few assorted bolts.

Nothin's wrong with the '77 XS650. But it's a damn good thing he doesn't have an '82...
Story is: I had to do some carb upgrades on one...."carb upgrades" in the form of replacment carbs that both leaked like crazy from the get-go. Many days of frustration insued and in all honesty, it was no fault of the XS650's design, 1982 or otherwise. Just harpin' on the old bikes.
