Texas has some long roads to accelerate on... I'd go with a something on the larger side of the cc's 1000+.

How did you "snapping the frame this past September."

Throw a rock, hit a bike. Attempt to negotiate price of said bike down due to aforementioned rock damage. You really can't go wrong.

Spence has had plenty of saddle time on a 955i tiger and sorta liked it.
Street triple is a real nice bike as is the speed triple for road riding.
Don't rule out a VFR either

I would opt for quantity, rather than spending that whole amount on one bike. A small dual sport bike, an old vintage rat, and a decent $2500 street bike. JMO.

Wow, lots of people suggesting the speed triple. I've got one in Texas for sale. Has penske rear/upgraded forks otherwise stock. PM me if you are interested. Would be less than 7k.

2006 Triumph Speed Triple - Street
    2003 R6 - Track
    2000 SV650 - Street/Track

    That's right, back to a 2 cylinder, 3 cylinder, and a 4 cylinder.
