where to buy CRASHED bikes around here?

Looking for a motorcycle bone yard. Where do all the crashed bikes go around here?

Mainly i need a shaft drive Vtwin engine for my chopper project. Like a boulevard, vulcan, intruder.

I have a seized 700cc, and i'd like to go fuel injected if i can pick up the whole bike for around 5-600 bucks.

Where should i go? where should i look?

Re: where to buy CRASHED bikes around here?

A friend of mine buys and sell salvaged bikes, some he fixes up and acquires a clean title which costs extra, or he will sell them as is.
DGM Cycles is the business name.

His business is based out of Hopedale, MA.
Some of you may know him from the stunt shows he does. "Riding to raise money" Did shows on Tuesday nights for a while in Milford, MA, and the yearly stunt show in Ashland.

    Good guy!

SkyCycle is no more... It is now Central Mass PowerSports and they do not have the salvage yard any more.

Or I don't believe they do at least.

I've not been to Sky Salvage. I have been to Drumhill Cycles, decent guys. I bought a rack of carbs from them.

Ricks motorcycle salvage in Plaistow might have some parts but I don't think they sell whole bikes

Thats a fact, I had been there for parts a few years ago & went back only to find the salvage yard building is vacant. I don't know if it merged with the business across the street. Too bad because they were reasonable with their pricing.

Argo always asks way more than they are willing to take , I bought my sv from them they were asking 2300. I bought it for 1150., a friend of mine went to get a gsxr600 and they wanted 4700.00 and he left with it for 3000. even, and another guy I know went and bought a vfr that they were asking 3100. for and he left with it for 1800.00, bought a tls motor for 300. there you just have to dicker with them all the bikes were advertised for alot more but they will come down if you are persistant

Re: where to buy CRASHED bikes around here?

There's a place in Newbury, MA called Seacoast Cycles that has a bunch of old bikes out back, and a bunch of good parts from them (including engines) in trailers out back. Give them a call or swing by, it's hit or miss but if you hit the prices are always awesome. Feel free to tell them Dan with the black KX that races an EX @ loudon sent you, they take good care of me and people I refer (a couple forum members should be able to vouch on that). Very small shop, good labor rates and good people, although they do bust a little balls now and again. That may be part of why I like them so much, actually. Try to deal with Kevin or Tim if you can.
