Does anyone know much about C70 Honda Passports?

My brother-in-law has a couple of classic C70 Passports sitting in his barn. They are in pieces now but were complete and running right before they were stored.

Are these worth putting back together? They have a bit of sentimental value to him so I think the answer is "probably yes". Are parts still obtainable? It's a Honda, so I'm guessing the motors are bombproof...

In a past life I spent hours upon hours working on an old KE125 for the sole purpose of allowing the original owner to see it running and riding again, even though he was unable to enjoy it in that way for himself.

If there is meaning to either or both of you with these machines, would there be any real loss at making an attempt to make one good one out of the two?

I think the only real loss is if parts are unobtanium for these.. but given that it's a Honda and they made a zillion of them, parts are probably still available?

Well, this escalated quickly. This is two different bikes:




Both are 1981 models. One has 300 miles and one has about 270 miles... they were stored in a basement which I think flooded, but there is no obvious water damage on either of them. Last registration is 1982-83 in Ohio.

The 2nd bike is missing some parts: front wheel (though I have the tire!), mirrors, turn signals, and some other trim bits. I do have the fairing and the seat but they're not pictured.

Will post some more pictures tomorrow.

Can't be too hard to reassemble this thing. Just make sure you go easy on the old parts, don't start the engine until you know its lubricated and free to rotate, don't fill the tank until you know it will hold fluid, etc.

Brother has one that he got basically for free, restored it and built a little trailer for the thing, turned it into his Block Island surf fishing buggy. They're pretty badass
