Ok so I bought this 848 a year ago...Im doing and planning on 4 or possibly 5 trackdays a year and I might hit 2k miles during the riding season. In other words, way less street riding tnan I used to do and a bit more consistent trackdays. Im forever removing my mirrors for trackdays, then being lazy and streetriding without mirrors...which leads me to my last bike, an MV Brutale which I put on a bitchen set of barends and CRG barend mirrors. I loved it. Im thinkin I could do the same with the 848, but my delema is I always thought fully faired bikes looked silly with barend mirrors....lately Ive been changing my mind a bit....I might wanna rock them on the 848......
What do you think??
I think they look good....![]()
I disagree - doesn't go well with a full faired bike. You have one of the sexiest bikes out there if not THE sexiest bike - I wouldn't spoil the looks with bar end mirrors.
Dani, this was my outlook as well for a long time.....but look at the pic above....oh man so nice.
Also the fact that you cant see shit out of the stock mirrors needs to be part of the discussion.....tue bar ends just work way,.way better....
CRG Arrows?
What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
IMHO mirrors in general are kinda ugly on any bike, but necessary. Looking at the pic above, I don't think it looks terrible.... worst case just pick up a cheapo version on ebay, see how you like it in action and go from there.

John, couple of things: a) you need to get bar end weights that allow you to mount bar end mirrors. Its a good opportunity to get very heavy aftermarket bar ends that dampen the vibes and also add protection in case you drop it (motovation USA makes great ones) b) If you get bar end mirrors, you also have to figure out a solution for your turn signals. I used to run Gregg's customs block-offs with integrated turn signals. They are well made, look cool, but not very visible to oncoming traffic. So this year, I wired my own solution - custom dynamics LED strips wired into the vents front and back (yes, red is technically illegal, you can buy amber if you like).

Ya my last bike was a Brutale. I put crg lanesplitters and motovation bar ends on it...that like 300 bucks for 2 mirrors and the set of barends....highway robbery, but Im gonna do it anyways....it take 4 seconds to remove or intall this setup...motovationusa is a great store too...
