ok, so i'm home now. thanks for all the emails an such. big thanks to everyone who helped me out. and a BIG apology for 'crashing' the ride, esp to new people. i normally keep it on 2 wheels (btw, kham, sweet wheelie on the straight away. i knew you were gonna bring up and it gave me a big smile when you did)
glad i can put a smile on a face. :) how far did i go? i know.. not that far. :D
i wanna say thanks for not taking me out. we would have end up in the hospital together. :(
i don't know if i could have made any room for you. it was such a small space to stop. once i lean over just couldn't check my rear.
thanks for all the email and best wishes everyone. it means a lot. my mom was all like "well, is this *finally* going to get this motorcycle thing out your system once and for all?". i just laughed at her and told her that if my bike was totalled i already had my eye on something with 20 more hoursepower (05 R1). hah.
oh and Chris, be ready for next Sunday. i'll have a nice plan routes this time.
Wait until 06, you have a special edition now, the 06 will be the next "limited" edition in the Yamaha's 50th color, yellow:drool:Quote:

Chris, you sound good as new already. Shoulder injuries suck - I dislocated and fractured mine when I was 17 :( Glad you're home and in one piece! Shit happens!
Oh, and I wish I got to see the wheelie... :D I was so far behind I probably wouldn't have been able to glimpse it even from a distance I suppose :dunno:
WOw...just saw this....very sorry to hear about your accident Chris...you will recover and get better soon! :) Glad you are otherwise ok....take care now! :)
Kham did a wheelie?
:bs:
Was I that far behind?

Same here! Glad I didn't witness the grand finale to the day either - no fun to see people get busted up :( 250 is good, but not at those kinda speeds...tops out at 110!Quote:

after 110 crosses 117(?), there is a short section of decent twisties, followed by a great right hand turn that dumps into a long straight away with fields on both sides. when kham and i got on the str8, he slowed just little a bit...i thought it might have been for ppl to catch up with us, but since he *is* a squid i realized what was going on :) I dropped back a bit to give him room, and then it was all starboyz :) and no, he wasn't putting anyone in danger by doing it. no on-coming cars, and i gave him plenty of room (now if i had only done that LATER ON then i wouldn't be broken now) oh well.

Yeah... me least of all given I was so far back that I didn't even see it. :sad2:Quote:

J/K
I do remember that section. Bummed I missed the Starboyz hottness.
watchout for this curve. :D
Just be sure to clean that speed off after the second gate to the correctional facility. The man likes to chill stealthmode (backed into the greenery this time of year) right before those greenhouses you passed on the right just before the Cumby's.Quote:

I checked your bike out Chris, if you do want to repair it let me know. I know that bike inside and out (I've had 2 of them) and have the service manual. It looked like you just needed to replace alot of bolt on stuff and some new plastics. You should get a good size check from your insurance company though to cover it.
Take it easy this week man, I know how much that injury hurts!
WOW...how did I miss this thread!!
Sorry to hear of your accident...here's to a speedy recovery :drink:
I got left over perks if you need 'em!!:)
