Concord N.H. to Bartlett, N.H.
Heading up to Bartlett with a few others next weekend.
I am planning on jumping off the super slab in Concord N.H. at Rt 132 to Ashland N.H. from there I (we) need some help in recommendations on some good routes up to the North Conway/Bartlett area.
If anyone can recommend something, Please chime in.
Thanks.![]()

the Kank is closed on the Lincoln side so from ashland, ya gota head east on 25
in Holderness , take 113 113a back to 113 all the way to Conway, then West Side Road to Bartlett

Supposedly the Kanc is reopening today. I would still avoid it as there are probably large sections that are dirt. 113/113a are fun. Also consider 153 from Freedom through Eaton and into Conway.

Lots saying 113/113a, but I had far worse luck there a few weeks ago. I didn't hit 113a, I stayed on 113, it was rough. Tank slapper, this sucks, damn I chose the wrong route bumpy, but that was on the gixxer 1k...depending on the hardware you plan to ride, it might not be so bad. I also got stuck behind 4 cages, so I did, no lie, 20-35 mph the whole way, out through some really sweet twisties. The road was so bumpy I didn't bother to try and pass cars, being a tight road I'd have had the front end so light a tank slapper was nearly guaranteed.
My 2 cents. If it was repaved and those 4 cars weren't in the way, I'd definitely be on the 113 bandwagon.
I believe the nasty section I described above was between Holderness and Sandwich.
Route 153 is probably one of the most underrated roads in NH. Route 109-153 is an awesome way to get to Conway. I'd even go as far as to say 153 is way better than the Kanc. MUCH less traffic and many many more twisties. The first part of this clip of me and Matt (lifesbetteron2wheels) is of 153:

So coming from the south, where is a good pick up point for RT 153?

153 starts in Farmington, the best twisites are between Sanbornville & Effingham and then again in Eaton
the section from Sanbornville to Effingham has quite a few driveways & side roads but its mostly summer vacation traffic, but also watch out during foliage season for leaf peepers
generally not much traffic on the section thru Eaton, another nice diversion in Eaton is taking Brownfield Road easterly a few miles to Haleytown Road then north to 302 in Fryburg, form ther, head east again to 113 at the first light in Fryburg then north to Hurricane Mountain Road, that'll put ya out on 16 in North Conway head back sout to 302 to get to Bartlett, that route will also get you around most of the traffic

What would you say is the run time to North Conway via Rt 132 out of Concord, N.H. to Ashland, N.H. and on up to North Conway?
We will consider the Rt. 153 on the return.
