well unfortunetly, before i had a chance to ride with all of you, i had to go and total my bike.....93 north, there was another rider bout 1 car back so if they're a member how'd it look?.... stop and go traffic with a van in front of me, after having him come to a complete stop twice and me having go hard on the brakes i decided to switch lanes so i could actually see what was ahead... looked left to go, couldnt, looked forward, van was at a dead stop, hit my brakes, front wheel wobble, goes out from under me and the next thing i know i'm jumping outta traffic in the other lane..... long story short, bike needs new handlebars, a new upper, plastics pretty scraped, but can live, and well to sum it up its pretty totalled, well all there's always next season, i'll stick around and be a forum rat for a while.
That sucks, sorry to hear of the get off.. Are you ok, I assume you are seeing you didn't mention any injuries!

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
Yea, since you didnt mention any injuries Im glad you are ok. It seems like this type of thing has happend to a number of members this season, I can recall at least 2 others. I guess it reminds all of us that there is no substitute for time to prevent an accident and that comes from keeping a large following distance.
what I do when I'm looking to switch lanes is get near the edge, that way if you have to look away and look back to find a situation like you did, you can squeeze through the middle. What kind of bike is it, doesn't sound hard to fix. Do you have insurance?
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
aw man that blows.... keep your head up though man, bikes can be repaired pretty easily. shit, mine's all scratched up from two "unscheduled dismouts" & i'm still out there trackin it up & puttin weekend miles on her.
Lets hit ebay, get that bitch ridable & go for a rip ASAP to cure the downed bike blues![]()

ok back from beth israel, after 4 hours and only receiving 2 shots for apparently muscle injury, i'm kinda dissapointed, i got a lil bit of rash on my left hip and a very small scrape on my left elbow, i was wearing my jacket and jeans at the time, thank god..... i was off to the left side of the lane and ready to but just ran outta room, i think what might have happened was that i made the squid mistake of braking hard then trying to turn outta the way and my tires just came out from under me..... oh well, i think i'm gonna call the insurance tomorrow..... its a 97 yzf 600r wit about 17300 mi's on it so i'm pretty sure with the damage there its gonna be totalled, and to save my mother the heart ache i'm most likely gonna take the rest of the season off.... however, the insurance money will make a very good down payment on a brand new bike and/or newer bike
Sorry to hear about the get off... glad to hear you're ok.
See what the buy back is... it should be really low... it would make a good track beater.

Guys on sportbikes are so hot....until they take their helmet off. Just leave the damn thing on already!
Beware the counterfeit Mini!
glad you're ok!
definately see what the buy back is on the bike, if for nothing else to part out, those bikes have been exactly the same for about 10 years running and if there is anything usable then you can sell them, or the other way to look at it is that the prts should be plentiful because they have been making it for so long
yea we'll see what happens, I really wouldnt mind just taking the rest of the season off and save my money for next year and maybe get a late model, new bike and just make payments.... I didnt feel too safe on the bike to begin and it seemed like every week i found something else wrong with it so i feel starting from scratch is a little better.
