    plate transfer & inspections

Prior to transfering my plates, I got my bike inspected so my inspection sticker was valid. However, the lady at the registry told me I needed to get my new bike inspected again even though i was transfering my plates to this bike. I dont plan on doing it because riding season is just about over anyways, but my question is dont cops base a vald inspection based on a current sticker or is there a database they go by also?

The registry lady is correct. BUT, the sticker number on the inspection sticker is recorded, the registry officer picks up said inspection sheets from the inspection station and they are held in Boston. Are they in a database somewhere? I would honestly doubt it. I don't think the registry is advanced enough with Motorcycle inspections to have someone enter the data. They are proposing a change for 2009 though. With that comes an increase. Stay tuned.
