    Question Crank or RW HP?

    HP specs are commonly published in two flavors: Crank and Rear Wheel.

    I'm assuming RW comes from the dyno, how is Crank tested?

    Can you extrapolate one from the other?

    Some manufacturers like to publish Crank HP, probably b/c it's higher...

    Can't say for certain, but I thought they got the crank HP when they 'bench test' 'em...

    BHP= Brake horse power

    The power it takes to "brake" a flywheel "drum" of a certain size and weight at a certain speed, basically.

    Eddy current helps your dyno, unless of course it "helps" you into a keeper-hole.

    inertial dyno

    a system that measures work (Torque/Horsepower) based on the acceleration of an object of a known mass.

    and eddy current dyno has something to do with measuring braking power?
