    A few (more) bits on the R1, v.Quigs 2.0

New parts time! Got a bunch of stuff installed by the guys up at Motopoint Cafe in Hampton. Good bunch of guys, turned my bike around quick and I'm extremely happy with the prices, install and service from them. Definitely recommended.

Bike's a bit on the dirty side, and there's chain wax here and there, but this weekend (weather permitting) I'll be giving it a scrub.

EK gold 530 chain, Vortex gold sprockets -1/+2:

ASV gold levers w/black adjusters. Fuck all, these things feel awesome, look kickass and are a ton nicer than the stockers.

Spiegler stainless braided brake lines, silver w/gold heads:

    Front:

    Back:

    Heads:

Watsen LED flushmounts (ok, I caved in here). They look awesome, are bright as hell, and you can see them from the sides. I went with the older model, liked the look better:

And under all this exhaust wrap is an MJS gutted, ceramic coated Y-pipe and HOLY SHIT is it 10000% cooler on the inside of my leg than the stock pipe. Sounds a little deeper but not much, and the only "complaint" so far is that the heat wrap smells like shit when it's first installed.

With the sprockets, 5500RPM at speedo 80 on the highway. I'm not sure right now what the offset will be from the gearing change, but a speedohealer, power commander and some race baffles are on the plate over the winter.

All in all extremely satisfied with everything, and again the dudes up at Motopoint were fantastic to work with - all of their recommendations were spot on and the install came out super clean.

Is this thread about your chin? If so, then absolutely.

might want to get a speedohealer now that you've changed gearing. it's $110 and installs in about 10 minutes. pictures look good

Definitely plan to have Josh put it on for me.

With this gearing, it's indicating about what, 5mph or so slower than I'm actually going, or is that the wrong direction?

typically -1/+2 gearing would make your speedo in the +15% range

Ah, so (for easy math!) it's the other way - if it says 100, I'm going 85?

Clearly time to take some epic pics of my speedo before I fix it so you guys think I'm fast.
