bikes going 4-10mph CAN not make this turn (close but not perfectly), sportbikes get their balance and turning capabilitys with speed.

I think the crown vics max out at 125 mph. Unless of course they have triple distributors and a flux drive, then they are capable of sub sonic speed
That thread is dumb. I still can't believe people would run from the cops and get caught.
The crown vic specs do me no good because my bike tops out at 140 going downhill with a wind.
The acceleration isn't so hot past 90 because I have a 1989 Ninja 600R that makes ~70bhp.

One of the guys that followed me told me he had an indicated 140 in his interceptor and he claimed I put 1/4 mile between us in 10 seconds. If you calculate that out it'd put me up around 245 mph I think. The judge didn't much care that the numbers didn't match. That guy kept up pretty good.

In the real world all your scoot can do better than a Crown Vic is accelerate, brake. and fit through spaces they can't.
The actual best place to loose a cop is in a neighbor hood. 90 degree turns and accelerate, run long and brake hard; then do it again. You will pick up 50 to 100 yards each time.
A lot of states have a specific speed they will break off pursuit but once the bit is in their teeth I wouldn't count on it. PLus you know at speed he bends metal you die.
If your license is relatively clean just pull over . yes sir no sir how about 14 over posted please.

My experience with the VT Police is that they are tencious mofos and will hunt you down and catch you, or kill you trying.
Yeah, but I've never seen a state trooper that could shoot down 17 in a crown vic as fast as a competent sport bike rider

Last fall, I had the pleasure of meeting a Mass State cop. He say he chased me for 22 miles. hahaha, I told him I was just in a hurry to get home. I was up in the 120-130 range, and he only caught me because I slowed for a clusterfuck of traffic in the fast lane. I didn't even know he was trying to catch me.
He seemed very excited ! lol After yelling at me for a while , F'in kids, evasion, you could get hurt? no shit Batman, yada yada, I took my helmut off, wow, I was older then him. We became sorta friendly, and he only wrote me for 100, hahaha, said he couldn't cancel it, cause he had called in other units. Must of been a slow day.

I had a friend go out and buy a used 93 GSXR-1100. He was about 6 miles away from where he bought it (here in Vermont), on a nice, wide, uphill straightaway, and rode right past a cop shooting radar - at 145, according to the radar. My friend said he saw him, and just figured that he'd stop if he chased him, but he didn't think the cop had even pulled out.
They called ahead, and had two cops waiting about 10 miles up the road at an intersection. The two cops waiting ran him into the ditch (they hit him with their cars), and held their guns to the back of his helmet while they cuffed him.
Of course he deserved some trouble, but I thought the whole running into him and holding a gun to his head thing was a bit much.
Can't outrun that damn radio.... The great thing about Vermont is all the twisty roads up through the mountains that the police couldn't keep up with you no matter how hard they tried.
The bad things is, all those roads dump out eventually and there are very few side roads to jump off on.
BTW, looks like the VSP put an office or barracks on main street of Waterbury, VT (exit 10 I-89).

I'm thinking of applying.
Few Questions:
When you ride, do you say 'roll'?
When there is a lot of you on a ride, do you collectivly arrive at a location 'deep'?
Is there a 'y' in rider? Should there be?
