First really full day on the R1, and I am sore as hell. I haven't done this much in one day in a very long time. What a day for a ride though!
Almost no slab other than Rt16 which you can't really avoid. Went up and down 108 to/from it, avoiding 95. GPS track data is 5 miles off, because I had to buy batteries on the way out.

I was up there all day yesterday. 400.6 miles on the VFR and pretty comfy. Anyway, I had the Mrs. with me so we had to do more slab. Also climbed Mt. Washington and saw the Flume.

Gonna take a crack next week at 550 miles in a day outta Virginia via NJTP/GWB out 84 to MassPike-NorthShore next week. But that's on the Connie, dunno if that qualifies for Iron-Ass.
300-400-500 miles is a nice day of riding, but nothing I'd consider ironbutt,
even at the level I'm at now, I'm a mere amateur, my BBG I did a few weeks ago was miniscule compares to some phenominal rides, the Ultimate Coast to Coast ride.... Key West, FL to Deadhorse AK, 87 hours is the current record
another guy has 7 back to back BBGs..... 10,500 miles in 7 days
Come on my Labor Day ride ... 800-900 miles in 18-19 hours,
