I would really like to get a CycleShell for the FZ to keep it covered and safe at my new place. Does anyone have any experience with them? Any good? Are there any better competitors?

Thanks all!
ive had one for over a year, and another guy on here, viper919 has one.
HIGHLY recommend it! its very well made, and they have great customer service. just one guy to deal with.
dont bother with other companies. this thing is so nicely made...and has a plastic base to keep out moisture, and keep everything stable. diamond plated kickstand/centerstand pads are included, along with a wheel chock and spikes to secure it to the ground, though i never bothered.
you wont be dissapointed, if you dont have a garage, this is the way to go. keeps the bike completely dry and nothing touches the finish.
if you want a used one, i'll sell ya mine, im moving into a house with a 3 bay garage so i have no need now. its in perfect shape.
EDIT: of course, it would probably have to be a pick-up, otherwise shipping would be too expensive to make it worth it. i make it down to NH fairly often in the summer...but anyway, dont hesitate to buy one, new or used.

You've got PM![]()
I've got one that I used for a couple of years for my Aprilia Mille. I also never bothered with the spikes to secure it to the ground. Since going to the track and getting a trailer, it hasn't been used in years. It's just sits in the attic collecting dust. Anywho, when in use the CycleShell did its job well, and I'd recommend it.

That thing would work great at my house. It's expensive though. For a couple hundred more you could get a shed at home depot.

My father has a cycleshell and he has not had any problems with it. Seems the way to go if you don't have a garage.
I ended up buying Darkduc's Cycleshell today. I just got it home and loaded my bike in and I'm very impressed. The whole unit is really well made, and it's SO simple to use. It's definitely closer to a garage than your standard throw-over bike cover. I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs.
Thanks again Brett!
Good purchase. I bought one last September and it does a good job at keeping my bike dry. Easy to set up and has been super durable.
Local dog likes to piss on it every other day though.
I've been trying to buy one for the past two weeks. Guy hasn't returned my emails and now his voice mailbox is full. Wonder if he's still in business? If anybody else has one they'd be interested in selling please send me a PM.
Anybody have any experience with Speed-Way Shelters, http://www.speedwayshelters.com/index.php ? They seem to be comparably well made, but they're also more expensive-the floor is an add on, not included like with the cycleshell. Of the two others that I've come across, the Bike Barn doesn't have a floor, and the Cycle Shelter doesn't seem to be as well made as the others.
I couldn't be happier with the Cycle Shell I bought. The quality of the whole thing is top notch, and it's SO easy to use. I'm very glad I bought it over the competitors offerings.
I did email the owner a few weeks ago (before I bought one) and he still hasn't gotten back to me. Something must be up.
Keep trying him. He sucks at internet/phone. Emails and calls, no replies. I got a hold of him one afternoon and we were supposed to talk again before he shipped. Never happened, but the shell came and it's really high quality. Get him on the phone and make sure you set up payment and delivery in that one phone call. good luck.
No surprise there. Guy custom builds these upon ordering, I think in his spare time. Emailing is a waste of time.

Talus and Schleppy thanks for the input. I'll keep trying but I've got a muddy parking lot and a new ride on the way. If I can't get him on the phone within a week or so I'll probably go with the Speed Way Shelter.
