So i went by earlier today to check out this place. Man was i happy i did. Heaven is in woburn. Place is big and they have ALOT of gear from castrol 10w50 oil to full blown alpinestar leathers. They also carry AGV helmets (big agv fanboy here).
Got to meet the manager Kyle and a couple of reps there. Really good group of guys/girls up there (plus they all ride). You guys should definitely check them out.
I couldn't help myself and ended up buying some much needed progrip tank pads.
Definitely worth the trip guys. I will be going broke soon because of that place lol.

I thought the same thing, but beware that it's the wal-mart of moto gear...some bilt stuff really sucks

Stay away from Bilt. The quality of this stuff may have improved over the past few years, but it is cheap for a reason.
If you don't mind paying retail prices for the Alpinestars gear, go for it.
From my experience, it's a great place to get oil/filters/ chain stuff. They also have a decent number of helmets, although they mostly carry Shoei's and their Bilt private label junk.
That being said, I like their warranty for the freeze out under garments, and the stuff works pretty well under leathers. If you buy it on sale, you can get an undersuit top and bottom for like $19 each.
I believe they will price match, so do your homework ahead of time.
tell me anytime you guys take a trip... it's a little bit out of my way, but i'll use it as an excuse to visit![]()
My $69 Bilt boots worked well for a few months, then the sole started to peel loose. I used some Shoe Goo to stick it back together and they are on their 2nd year now. They are still waterproof! The Bilt vented MX jerseys work well, for the $15 they cost. I also have some inexpensive Bilt MX gloves, that are on their 2nd year, but have a hole in one finger. I still use them every day. I tried some Bilt Ironworker OTB jeans, but they would not fit over my MX boots, so I had to send them back, which is too bad because I really liked them. I simple zipper in the leg would have made them great for Dual-Sporting and running around town. Returns via the mail are a PITA with them. Returns might be better face to face, in a store, though.
As an on-line vendor, there are better places to deal with (Like Rocky Mountain ATV - they seem to be the LL Bean of the cyber vendors - no questions/free return shipping on gear).
Even the McDonalds manager likes Whoppers every once and a while....
I do i actually have triumph alpinestar boots, all types of triumph jackets, Triumph Bellaclavas, triumph wallets, Triumph piggy bank (yes not joking) Triumph gloves and oh yeah many different James Dean/ Steve Mcqueen Triumph t-shirts. but sometimes i don't mind checking out other brands for some gear.

Hey R-Pitts!
how about the safety vest for $26.99?
4.5 star reviews, complaint on flimsy zipper...but "seems" like a deal...how can you go wrong with a vest aside from stitching coming out?

Dont get me wrong, shit like that? Hell yeah. Stuff thats meant to protect me? HELLLLLL no.
Comments like Greg's astound me. I mean, they fall apart within a couple months, couple holes in them, but hey, they were a great buy, and Im sure falling apart from normal wear will not translate to their quality when sliding down the concrete in an off.
It's all about expectations, I guess. I paid little, I expect little. If the stuff is sufficient enough, or I can modify it to suit my need, then I am OK with it. No big deal really. It is cheap stuff, that sometimes is good enough.
In for a vest...I'll wear it alone over my 138lb ripped shortcut-to-size bombshell physique...?y bony elbows make holes in pavement

I stopped by the new store today and I was surprised they didn't carry tires and had a limited selection of fluids and chemicals in stock. This cycle gear seemed scaled down from others I've shopped in states located in the South. Maybe it's just me.
Cycle Gear in ,Woburn..cool..never knew one opened up there.
They have 20% off all fluids every once in a while and some decent gear...the superstore in Sacramento is insane for gear..Just about every piece of Dainese and Alpinestars made is there for sale.Smaller stores generally have the cheaper gear like Bilt and Thunder Road or some crap like that.
Is the store bigger than the one in CT ?
Remember that not everyone that rides can afford top of the line gear. I personally buy the best gear I can afford and know will save me in a crash (as much as possible). There are many people just getting into riding with little money and if they buy a $90 helmet it is much better than a new rider with no helmet! Most of the people on here are experienced riders so shelling out for a $600 Shoei is well worth it but a guy with his first $200 ninja 250 would most likely want to buy a lower price jacket and come back later with more money when he decides to upgrade. I have a cheap set of Built mesh gloves which were a good deal for the price but I also have high dollar gloves when I need them. I guess the value all depends on your budget and purpose! I have 2 nice full leather jackets which each cost over $400 and I have a Built mesh jacket which I wore all summer and had no problems with (so far). I only paid $79 and used it all summer so I think I got my moneys worth. Next season I will pass this jacket on to a friend who cannot afford a summer jacket and I will upgrade. Sorry I just wanted to add my two cents. I really like Cycle Gear and Jenni At the Manchester store is who directed me to this site. Thanks
I stopped into the new store this afternoon and picked up few items. I got a very competitive price on a stand for the YZ125, some mx apparel and some small items. They haven't celebrated their grand opened yet and were still working through a few issues at the register. Nothing short of an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Of course my leg brace helped prime the conversations but they were really enthusiastic about novice season. They told me to contact the manager regarding sponsorship and contingency information. I told them I wasn't a very good racer but they gave me my props for pursuing my passions.
I'll definitely shop there when I have the need.

There's truth and charm and beauty
And strangeness everywhere
The closer we examine
The more there's nothing there
Triumph guy goes to Cycle gear
Cycle gear guy knows Triumph guy
Cycle gear guy asks Triumph guy to spread the word of a new store in the area, knowing someone from cycle gear has already tried to skimp out on the commercial advertising rules here on NESR.
Do I win anything?
