It's 10:35pm, 30.1 degress outside, and I'm going for a ride. I'm bored as hell, my friends are either away for the holidays or too lame to do anything fun, so I'm gonna go for a ride and see how long it takes me to freeze my ass off. Manny / Pete, wanna go 'pose' on Newbury? Should have pulled the battery. I wonder if it's even gonna start...

I started mine yesterday for the first time in a while and it cranked over a little slow, no intentions to ride it though. Someone from the R1-Forum wants to drive over 800 miles here to buy it

So did you go out? Cold isn't that bad if you're dressed for it. I can stay pretty much warm except my hands....need some insulated gloves if I want to do anymore cold riding.

today, it's alla charged up. I'm going out at some point, and yeah, it's always the hands that get cold first.

I started the bike up last night... and was going to take my niece for a ride this morning, but quickly changed my mind when I looked at the thermometer and it was in the teens.

Plus some of the intersections around my neighborhood are icy.

it was 8° when I left this morning to ride to moto mart open house, and a balmy 28° when I got there

50% choke, thumb the starter and it was running, I keep my bike in an unheated barn

had to take a detour on the way down, someone smacked a pole on 125 in Barrington, road was closed, http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll...EWS05/51127003

it was snowing lightly to moderate most of the way back home

they were just finishing with the pole repair on my way home

220 toasty warm miles for today

bought a new balaclava at MM, it's awesome

gerbings jacket liner, hotgrips heated grips
I also wear Sorel Premium boots and reima gore-tex gloves
and a Fulmer snowmobile helmet , thermal fleece long johns and sweatshirt (over the jacket liner, and a lightweight longsleeve tee under) First Gear HT overpants & jacket w liners
