Police looking for witnesses in motorcyclist’s death - Cambridge, MA - Cambridge Chronicle & Cambridge TAB
I didn't hear about this last week. Article makes it evident that there are conflicting stories about what happened.

Why???
I wasn't there. Don't know what happened. Witnesses are unreliable. There seems to be at least some evidence that the motorcyclist may have been impaired, was riding in a 'squidly' fashion, and the status of the light is unclear.Witnesses told police that Ducasse was leaving from Shine nightclub in Kendall Square on his 2005 blue Suzuki motorcycle at about 1:23 a.m. June 26 when a 47-year-old Cambridge man drove through a red traffic light at the intersection of Hampshire and Portland streets and hit him
Another witness told police the motorcyclist was leaving Shine nightclub and speeding down Hampshire Street in the direction of Columbia Street at about 50 to 60 mph. Just after the crosswalk, the motorcyclist popped a wheelie on his bike and accelerated, the witness told police in reports. At the time the motorcycle entered the intersection, the traffic light was green and began to change to yellow, the witness told police.
Police said Ducasse did not have a motorcycle license and his driver’s license was suspended.
He didn't desearve to die. But that doesn't mean the driver of the car is automatically guilty...and it sucks pretty bad to be him either way.

that sucks.... but... the worst part is, regardless of who was at fault in the accident, if the kid wasn't riding like he was supposed to ("Police said Ducasse did not have a motorcycle license and his driver’s license was suspended.") he'd be alive right now.![]()
