The seat. I don't care "all that much" about how it looks, but some comments I've found from others have been that the F4 split seat mod also makes it much easier to get your body position right, where the "banana" seat doesn't really help you much. Replacing the rear section, however, would probably also solve my problem with the crappy integrated tail light that's on there right now not working correctly.

The more I think about this the more I think "Nummy, you've been on a gold wing. The fact that you'll be able to reach the offside grip when slightly off the bike will be an enormous advantage. " I have a couple yards of Harley pleather kicking around the garage somewhere. I may try just recovering it with that. Duct tape remains a very possible option.

For a second there I thought you picked up a superhawk...
Interestingly, there is a contingency of people on the superhawk forum that claim that you don't need the manual CCT and all you need it to replace the original every 30k miles. The R/R is a different story...

I've mostly just rev'd this thing in the driveway, but haven't noticed any rattle through the range.

Yea.....Its what I use and really its all you have to chose from is the APE one...and if your on the right side of the bike, pull that side fairing bolt and look in at the side of the motor near the top...if you see anything anodized usually either Blue or Red its got one done. There is a aftermarket screen in the way of where you can usually see it...

and at those miles i think either you have a good one or its been done......Id say its been done but its just a guess. But they make a racket when needed.

So I actually had preapproval to do this, but it was one of those ... "OK, if you want to..." sorta things. I'm not sure if it was actually permission or a test to see if i would make the right decision . We'll see when she sees the bike I may need to take you up on the offer.

This presents a new set of problems for me. In the little bit of driveway stuff that I've done the whole clutch / throttle thing is going to take some getting used to. As of now this is much "touchier" than I'm used to. The clutch has also been a bit inconsistent. Engagement when moving seems to be in a different place than when not moving. Could indicate my clutch is hosed. Could be normal. IDK.

I don't have a problem moving stuff from side to side, but I suspect that the amount of side to side that is possible will get me very uncomfortable very quickly.

??? No idea. I even emailed the mods and asked. No reply. I do post senseless crap on a pretty regular basis. Their forum, their call. Haven't touched it.

Between the tile project, closing up camp (and moving the camper home, good lord it's incredible the amount of shit you collect) and increasing my presence in our Waltham office to 3 days a week (which completely sucks) I've not had time for anything else. I did manage to order a new cheapo Chinese made tail light from flea bay. Sitting in the box next to the bike.

Tile project end is in range though. Should be finishing up the actual tile laying this weekend. Perhaps start grouting. We'll see.
