So is your wife equally excited... or is she still unaware and you have it hidden in the neighbor's garage?
She hasn't seen it yet. It's in our garage, but with me in the middle of a tiling project her car is currently kicked out of the garage (as that's the tile staging area), so she hasn't gone in there. When she does go in, I might be in trouble.![]()
Oh no... I'll wait to insert the shitfan smilie when she finds out.
If you become homeless, you can stay at my place until you find alternative shelter.
Friggin awesome man!!!
You are Hooked now.!!!
The older I get the Faster I wuz
The more I think about this the more I think "Nummy, you've been on a gold wing. The fact that you'll be able to reach the offside grip when slightly off the bike will be an enormous advantage. " I have a couple yards of Harley pleather kicking around the garage somewhere. I may try just recovering it with that. Duct tape remains a very possible option.
Thanks! I'm a bit too much of an idiot to ride a hawk, much less a Superhawk. I'm prolly a bit too much of an idiot to ride this as well. We'll see.
I've mostly just rev'd this thing in the driveway, but haven't noticed any rattle through the range.
Will see if I can pull the fairing and take a look. Have to wait until wifey goes to bed. Thanks for the info. I signed up on cbrforum, but managed to somehow get banned 3 posts into my introduction thread. Still don't know why.
So I actually had preapproval to do this, but it was one of those ... "OK, if you want to..." sorta things. I'm not sure if it was actually permission or a test to see if i would make the right decision. We'll see when she sees the bike
I may need to take you up on the offer.
We'll see. I still have no proof that I can actually even ride this damn thing![]()
Banned?! Interesting...
Banned. http://cbrforum.com/forum/new-member...uction-141927/
3 posts. All to 1 thread. No idea what rule I broke. Ob la di.
Woohoo congrats!!!!
*side note - that chock sits at my work with your name in it...
If you ain't first......you're last!
I just read your thread. Seriously, what the hell was the ban for??
Edit: maybe they tracked you here and just assumed you'd eventually break this rule:
2. Post-Whoring / Frivolous Posts
Frequent, multiple, short or meaningless posts which add no value to the discussion, or creating posts for the purpose of increasing your personal post count are discouraged.![]()

This presents a new set of problems for me. In the little bit of driveway stuff that I've done the whole clutch / throttle thing is going to take some getting used to. As of now this is much "touchier" than I'm used to. The clutch has also been a bit inconsistent. Engagement when moving seems to be in a different place than when not moving. Could indicate my clutch is hosed. Could be normal. IDK.
I don't have a problem moving stuff from side to side, but I suspect that the amount of side to side that is possible will get me very uncomfortable very quickly.
Thanks! Yes. I know. I generally make it to Fort Eddy at least 3 times a week. Since we talked about this I can't even invent a reason to get there. I have not forgotten.
??? No idea. I even emailed the mods and asked. No reply. I do post senseless crap on a pretty regular basis. Their forum, their call. I'm amazed that I've survived on the 'wing forum that I'm on for over a year (as you might imagine they are a reasonably uptight bunch) and can't make it on a CBR forum for over a day.
I'm very controversial![]()
Ehhh....I am banned on every gsxr froum there is......bunch of Homo's on there anyways no loss

The 'wing forum is an uptight bunch? ...lol, lol!
Maybe they should join you for some trackdays to "loosen" up a little!
So picts of the new kitchen/tile work? I wanna see approximately how much labor it takes to be able to sneak a sport bike past the missus.![]()
No pics yet. It's not done and I hate "in progress" pics.
Floor plan
18x18 tiles in the "center"
12x24 tiles for front entry / bath
Accent tiles for the pattern in kitchen, which will also eventually be the backsplash
Currently on my 4th saw blade![]()
If I didn't take 'in progress' pics, I wouldn't have any pictures of my house!
So how goes the life of a CBR owner these days?
Haven't touched it.
Between the tile project, closing up camp (and moving the camper home, good lord it's incredible the amount of shit you collect) and increasing my presence in our Waltham office to 3 days a week (which completely sucks) I've not had time for anything else. I did manage to order a new cheapo Chinese made tail light from flea bay. Sitting in the box next to the bike.
Tile project end is in range though. Should be finishing up the actual tile laying this weekend. Perhaps start grouting. We'll see.
My offer for tire changing assistance stands. Although if you've received a similar offer from someone else on here, you should take them up on it as they might actually know WTF they are doing.
CBR=CrossBeamRacer LOLOLOLOL thats why stunters use them and they take a beating too
