Went to a ducati dealer on saturday with the intension of purchasing a new 1200 monster but the ergo's made my metal hip hurt, so i sat on the diavel and it fit like a glove. So school me!
Did you ride it? If you do, be prepared to be surprised. Fast as a rocket and handles far better than you'd think with that fat assed tire. I'd rock one for sure....! (Plus, it get's chicks...!)

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
I test rode one. They do handle amazingly for what it is(heavy, low, standard/cruiser ergos). I could ride that thing all day long, probably one of the most comfortable bikes I've been on. The seat is firm, but shaped right and the position is like sitting in a chair reading a news paper. It's got crazy power and that Ducati sound too. Love the position of the license plate, which they also seem to use on the new Monster.
It's an interesting bike. The motor is indeed awesome in every way. Brakes are great. So far we are crushing the normal cruisers. The chassis is a bit odd IMO. It does drop into corners startlingly easy, but I felt like all it wanted to do then was stand right back up like a weeble or something. The contact patches of the front/rear tires are not in line and I think that's the cause. I had to countersteer all the way though the turn to keep it heeled over.
For me the reach is too far, making it not comfortable as I have to slouch to ride it. YMMV.
Took one for a day and it was a blast. Tons of power, stops great and handles much better than you'd expect a cruiser to.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
This is my favorite part:
Like the tailing excuse to your buddies for the ugly person you hooked up with at last call.
Diavel is a great cruiser (yes, I've ridden one). Handles like it should, but you shouldn't be riding it like a Monster or Panigale in the first place, no? Ride it like it's a V-Rod and you'll be impressed all around.
Still ugly though, like that person you hooked up with at last call.

I testrode one, and I liked it a lot better than I thought I would.
It wouldn't be my first choice, but if I already had one for some reason, I'd ride it rather than sell it, and be happy.
I think "ride it like a V-Rod" is a very good description. I was pretty impressed with the V-Rod, for that matter.

I rode my friends for about 5 minutes until I got pulled over, but fortunately the cop was more interested in the bike then he was giving me a ticket. In the short time I rode it I enjoyed the hell out of it however, it was very fast and for its size super nimble. My friend can wheelie the thing all day long.
I am keeping my 1400 concours, love the ride, loved the ergo's of my 1200 ZRX, selling my meanstreak still have 2 1/2 years on extended warranty, (not my style), alway's wanted a ducati since I was 16 and now seem's like the right time. Things that don't look normal are fine by me, i was just concerned about throwing it around for fun, I know I am not looking for a track bike.
