    Re: Q1 2024 Motorcycle Salesq

I so badly want a new street bike but no one makes anything I want and that's mostly because I don't want to much tech on my bikes. I'm riding for the thrill and fun of it so I don't want riding modes or wheelie control or even abs. I don't want a nanny bike. No one really makes anything like that anymore that really appeals to me and I don't think I'm alone. If I could get a new gsxr750 with no tech I would buy a new one every year as that is what I used to do until they started putting ride modes in. I just have no interest in it. I think my last brandy new bike was 2010 or 11. That's it for me.

Would seem there are additional forces at play as well. Stopped into Razees tuesday to make an appt for the KTM and catch up with friend who works there.

Said lot of change in the industry, MFGs requiring big$$$ commitment, or you get the shaft on inventory / selection, shop requirments and currently the floorplan costs are through the roof. I asked what was up with the non-existent Ducati inventory and he said they're on Ducatis shit-list, and that they are the worst with floorplan costs/delvier/set-up/etc. Razee is a SMALL dealer, I guess Ducati wanted them to spend $$$$$$$$$$ and they were like "we haven't SOLD that dollar value in Ducatis in the past 20 years, no thanks".

SEMI , while discussing if they still had a good ducati tech (trying to decide if I want to have them do my Hyper belts/valves, or go north), he mentioned that several of the MASS ducati dealers wouldn't even touch my bike, too old, nothing older than 5-6 years I'm sure this is common knowledge to a bunch of you, I had never heard this before...

Said it gets them a bunch of work, shop is booked as they work on any year, and pretty much any MFG/model.

On of my favorite things about the RC8R is it is one of the last true monsters with no nannies.
