I was wondering if anybody has set up a camera on their bike so that they can see their own body position on the bike. Thought it would be nice to be able to see what I am doing without having to get someone to follow me. Could record the whole day of riding and see where I am consistent and where I am not, etc. Any ideas?

helmet cams. i think Oxx is considering doing it with his setup. I'm going to try to talk him into letting me borrow it for the trackdays.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
or maybe something mounted to the tail of the bike.
Tuono
Yeah, top of the tail looking forward is about as good as you're gonna get.

mark cusson a while ago rigged up this pole to the tail that had the camera kinda looking down on him, almost like a follow cam in a video game...made for a badass video, you can see everything hes doing.
Second half of this video.
body position video.
Pencil camera with velcro.
The camera was spinning in it's holder, that's why you inadvertently keep tilting your head while watching that video.
derek
That looks like a good set upAnybody have any experience with the sony DCR-HC28 miniDV camera? I hear the minidv is best for not skipping.

Ken: Excuse me, Mr. Sinclair. Is there something wrong?
Degsy: Yes Sir, the data on the ZX14 is inaccurate.
Charlie: How's that, Mr. Sinclair?
Degsy: Well, I just happened to see a ZX14 do a...
Paul: We!
Degsy: Uh, sorry Paul. WE happened to see a ZX14 do a 4G negative dive.
Ken: Where did you see this?
Maverick: Uh, that's classified.
Charlie: It's what?
Degsy: It's classified. I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.
Ken: So Mr. Sinclair, where exactly were you?
Degsy: Well, we...
Paul: Thank you.
Degsy: Started up on his 6, when he pulled over turn 5, and then I moved in in front of him.
Ken: Well, if you were directly in front of him, how could you see him?
Degsy: Because I was inverted.
Graham: [coughs] Bullshit.
Paul: No he was man, it was a really great move. He was inverted.
Ken: You were in a 4g inverted dive with a Red Group Trackday attendee on a ZX14?
Degsy: Yes Sir.
Ken: At what range?
Degsy: Um, about 2 meters.
Paul: It was actually about 1 and a half I think. It was 1 and a half, I've got a great Polaroid of it, and he's right there, must be 1 and a half.
Degsy: Was a nice picture.
Paul: Thanks.
Ken: Uh Mr. Sinclair, what were you doing there?
Paul: Communicating.
Degsy: Communicating. Keeping up foriegn relations. You know, giving him the bird.
Paul: [Ken looks puzzled, so Goose clarifies] You know, the finger
[gestures apprpriately]
Ken: Yes, I know the finger, Paul.
Paul: I-I'm sorry, I hate it when it does that, I'm sorry. Excuse me.

That would work great, although like you said, the air fence might be a problem unless you blow the corner.
ON a side note, I went to Best Buy last night and explained what I wanted to do and the guy told me nothing they sold would really work for a motorcycle and I would be unhappy with the results. He said I needed a more commercial camera to get any kind of quality out of it. So do you all have commercial grade cameras? lol
