DMV Requirements when changing fairings...

Since I have been unsuccessful in selling my bike, I may just go ahead and change the fairings from Raven to the Blue set. Do I have to notify the DMV or anyone else if I do this?

Nope..I just changed the color on the Registration

Well....when i went to renue it I had the DMV do it No big deal....either way

Get the RMV to do a color change.

For a year my reg said my bike was yellow when it was actually black. Got pulled over and they never questioned it.

But also note I told the lady at the RMV to change the color to black it just never happened.

btw. is integrated tail lights illegal in Mass?

No but if they want to be a ball buster it should say DOT on it to be legal....But I run a clear alternatives one, and no issue at all

Integrated tail lights are legal.... as long as the blinkers are a minimum of 8" apart.

I had more than a couple of inspection stations give me flack about it when I had my ZX. Luckily I still had the stock blinkers, mounting locations & wiring intact, so I went home, put them on, rode back & got my sticker.
