Gearing up today, realized that the ass of my Joe Rocket "Alter Ego" pants are worn and a little holey from when I dumped the 636 a while back. Now I need new motorcycle pants. *sigh* Any suggestions?
I liked the alter ego pants because they had a big vent, relatively easy to get on and off, had an 8" zipper to connect to my JR jacket and also had a liner so they could be warm if I needed. The size was perfect so that I was comfortable with jeans or no pants under them.
I'm considering just going for a full suit, but don't have an aerostitch budget: http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street...ycle_suit.html
I'd get the Joe Rocket Alter Ego 2 pants, but I'm just impressed by JR's durability and they lack the big zipper to connect to my jacket.
lol, a month to the day
I have one of these: http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street...ycle_suit.html
That I'm pretty stoked on. Full quilty liner, big mesh zip panel in the front, and fairly inexpensive. I haven't given it the crash test (yet), but for the $, I'm pretty satisfied.
I also own the alter ego pants. the suit is heavier duty.

Yup. The torso vents well actually. I just unzip the tops of the legs a couple inches to get some air up my legs. If it's hot enough to really sweat...your going to really sweat. Regardless of the gear.

I have a pair of the Speed and Strength over pants, model Coast is Clear. The quality is great so far and they have removable panels for warmer days and a zip in rain&water layer.
Friend: man riding this really hurts my balls
Me: Well you're not supposed to sit on your balls!
