The investors that held "American Ref-Fuel" sold out to the competition "Covanta". So now I work for Covanta at the same plant. Not impressed so far, we'll see how it goes and I'll make my decision later.....Originally posted by Jaynnus

Man... As neat as it is to look at pics of myself & see how i've improved, it's seriously just as cool to see all the returning trackday peeps just gettin better & better. Everyone looks friggin awsome. That's really one of the big things that brings me back to the track is sharing the experience of improving w/ everyone else that's doing the same![]()

However on the flipside.. I saw some pics of myself in Turn 3 from 2 races ago and almostWas NOT a happy camper. My only focus for Friday's trackday/practice is to work on my right turn form, mainly in 3.

P.S. - I still dislike you for being faster than me.
Yeah, I tried to make that not sound arrogant, but it's seriously true... it's cool to see pics of you guys out there tearin it up more & more. I sit here at work & am showin people pics of you guys like "I know these people"... what can I say? I get a kick out of seein my friends at the track
P.S. I dislike you too, but not for being slower than mejk

It's actually quite a useful technique to analyse your body position by looking at pictures of yourself, and others.
One thing we are learning in our experience teaching is the the inside elbow is a lynchpin to good body position. if it's straight, or higher than the outside elbow in relation to the bars, then at least a few bad things are happening:
1. You're actually plowing the front tire through the turn instead of letting it track or pushing down on the bar to steer, which does NOTHING but make you tired and the bike feels like a truck.
2. It pushes your head and shoulders back up toward the center of the bike, effectively negating, or lessening the effectiveness of hanging off at all.
3. You're using your arms to pull/push yourself up (not smooth)
Degsy's pic shows a nice, relaxed inside elbow. You can clearly see that if he were to steer, he would push forward on the inside bar, NOT downward.
The guy on the vintage Yamaha gets a gold star too! You can see his elbows are parallel to the bars. nice.
I've spent literally HOURS doing just that. Pre-season and since I've started racing. In my experience... it pays off.Originally posted by Paul_E_D
