Friend of mine's GF is looking for something in the form of a first motorcycle. Of course I have recommended the likes of the Kawasaki EX500 and Honda Hawk but was wondering if anyone had anything they were looking to get rid of.
She has her head screwed on straight and is looking to keep her purchase price around $1000. She is well aware of the possibility of anything in the price range needing some type of repair however, for her sake, I am trying to avoid older sport machines if possible which means no 1987 GSXR 750's and the like.
I was thinking about recommending she find one of the Hyosung GT bikes but wasn't sure on how decent they are with regards to all around quality and reliability. Any feed back or direct knowledge on those machines would be helpful.
Whaddya got, NESR?

Thank you

My good friend has a Honda Rebel he'd let go for around a grand. I think it's an 02, a few k on the clock. Runs like a top.
^^
If you wouldn't mind getting more info and maybe a couple pics on that bike, I'll send you my e-mail and pass the info along.
I guess a loaded and farkled 2009 Concours14 ABS, Black, 6 year Kawasaki good times bumper to bumper, 5500 miles and not a scratch on it for 7500 would be out of the question? You'll never use all the power. Room for the old lady! nINJA 14 Rock guard for the radiator, loud Strebble horns and upgraded headlight bulbs, too! Goldwing cover! I'll hold it til the snow is gone! Easy to do cause I still have three feet of snow in front of my shelter-shed.
Whaddya say, whaddya say?
p/s Probably not a good idea for a beginner unless it's a well-disciplined beginner. Yankin' the throttle on this dood is addicting and 100 feels like 65. Discipline MANDATORY.
Busa.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
Naw, dood. Guess NOT. Jeez, August 2009 I wrote a check for 14 and change, more probably. I'm gonna downsize though. Ain't got time for the kinda ridin' the bike is capable of. And I forgot to add the Givi trunk with integrated passenger backrest. Dopey me! I'll sell it, but not in a fire sale.
Oh, and you'd have to have a hellatious truck to get to the garage it's in. There's 4 or 5 feet of snow still back there, that area of the yard is under shade. Not quite enough melt yet. It IS on the battery tender though.
Almost forgot, I have the factory service manual, they put a new Yuasa in it last Fall under warranty AND I'll throw in the battery tender, harness already attached. It's a steal, but I realize a Kawasaki 1400 big block V-Tec Super Tourer ain't exactly on everyone's wishlist or skill set. THAT'S why it's a steal. Hairy a bike as it is, I'd bet doods that really know how to RIDE could get this fucker down a back road right quick.
*I* can, after all..![]()
Too bad only $1000, I'm selling the Stinger for $4500.

I don't have it for sale, it is a clean title bike, nice bodywork. It will need exhaust gaskets due the previous owner removing the aftermarket exhaust at time of sale. Burgandy model w/12k. Call me tomorrow if you are interested at 603-264-7125. Thanks
