Is it bad that i would completely fall for this sales scheme? knowing that the bikes in this store and the clothing on the dolls function exactly the same as the ones in other stores.... id be far more likely to enter this visually appealing store.

The only experience I have with them was buying a Gixxer there, only to find out a month later that the bike had been piled at the track by the previous owner and rebuilt.
I would have bought it anyway, but it would have been nice of them to fill me in on that little tidbit.

There isn't a Ducati dealer in CT anymore...have to travel to MA or NY.
This was a long time ago, mind you, back when they were on 28 kind of near Canobie Lake Park. They were "selling it for a friend", and the guy I bought it from called him by his first name several times. I honestly don't know if they knew or not, but if I was selling "Chuck's bike for him", I'd know if it was piled and repainted, ya know?
Not trying to stir up shit, I'd like to think that they weren't aware of it because of the high marks that they get around here, but I'll never do business there again. I saved my ass off to buy that bike, and even though it never gave me any trouble outside of the normal things that happen to older bikes, I was heartbroken when I found out.
"Hey bro! Check out my awesome new bike!"
"Hey, that's Chuck's old bike. That thing was a yard sale at the track a few months ago!"
Edit: IIRC the dude's name was Jesse that sold me the bike. Water under the bridge either way.

I bumped into Alex (formerly with Seacoast...raced at Loudon) at the New York show last weekend. He was working the Ducati area, and is part of the SoHo dealership. I hope it works out...and wish him well. Sounds like from what he was telling me that Ducati is taking it very seriously. I encourage people to stop by if in NYC.

I saw AJ at the show too! He was at Great Bay in North Hampton NH too. Worked on both my Triumphs. Sorry to see him leav. He took me over to the Triumph booth and was trying to wheel and deal into buying the Explorer from NYC Ducati/Triumph.Hopefully this summer I can ride down to NYC to see him again and see the shop on 6th Ave.
Looks exactly like their floor space at the NYC moto show. I must applaud them for their consistency. Honestly it turned me off a bit when I went to visit their display at the show and they had a fashion show going on...no kidding..women and men walking a small cat walk. I still went to sit on a Multi but not until the fashion show, and its supporters, were long gone.
The emphasis on "brand values" hits the mark dead center.
In South Boston these days, I'm starting to think Ducatis are the new "starter bike." Ride down one of the heavily "condo-ized" or "yuppified" streets and you'll see luxury import cars and Ducatis. One street over will be domestic SUV's and Harleys.
Given the similar prices of HD's and Ducatis, the marketing emphasis and demographics couldn't be more stark.
These days, marketeers are trying to "brand" everything from peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on up. BMW Motorrad sends "brand police" to rallies and just made all the BMW clubs redesign their logos to reflect BMW's latest "brand identity."
“It's 2 minutes for any capable adult.”
That's because marketers have learned over the years that brand identity and "lifestyle" not only attract people, but keep those same people buying their brand year after year.
Look at any major lifestyle brand and you'll see that this type of marketing strikes at the core of what people want - group membership and recognition. North Face, Harley, Apple, they all practice lifestyle marketing and because of it, have a consumer group that will follow them to their collective graves.
