Well, as we all know if you haven't dropped your bike yet, you eventually will and today was MY day
I got gas went in for a Red Bull moved my bike away from the pumps and drank by drink. Got my gear on, put one leg over and then it happened. The ground was wet with pine-needles and I lost balance and down she went.
THANK GOD for frame sliders. The bike is absolutely fine. The only thing damaged is my ego....oh well! Besides a scraped up ankle it's all good.
I did get about 50 miles in today but must say that the roads were covered in
wet leaves and debris after the high-winds and rain last night. So be careful.
Here's a few pics of the ride.

I feel for you.
It happens.
Mine went over in the driveway when I wasn't even on it. Kickstand was in a small divot in the pavement and the bike rolled foward. My back was to it so I didn't see it go down, but spun around quickly when I heard the crunch.
I got some rash on my plastics because the momentum of the bike falling, carried up over the slider and onto the plastic.
Nice pics too.
Not bad for a first dump, you still have a really nice looking bike.
My first was on a three day old gsxr, no sliders and big damage. I was playing backroads Rossi on the way into work all summer, until that happened. I still blame the Bridgestones.
SWEET THe best get off there is!
Pick up that ego and ride on! Nice job, good investment with the frame sliders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()

Don't worry about your ego, shit happens. Don't let it keep you down.
By the title I thought this was a toilet training success thread.
Congrats on puting on frame sliders ahead of time. Most people don't get that until the second time around. ps I love that exhaust can.
Pfft, that's not a dump, that's a drop
Happy to hear it came w/o any headaches![]()

she was just tired and needed a nap. Bikes get tired around this time of year, just before their hibernation.
Bras cause cancer.
if my ego went down every time i dropped it i'd be one of those emo kids.
It happens to us all! And yes, frame sliders rock. I will never go without them.
Sorry to hear that Bill. Glad your alright.
I hear you on the pine needles thing. Went out for a brief ride before putting her away for the season and it was damn slick in places.

Should have changed the title - as i stated in my post it was a drop and not a dump.
That is hilarious! hah I love it.
too bad on the drop, but at least she is ok. I am gixxer stupid, what year is that? It is sweet looking!
I rode 50 or 70 yesterday in RI and it was the same deal, lots of leaves down, got a few good corners in though. Gotta squeeze all we can out of these last warm days!
Man I wish my bike could accept frame sliders without mauling the fairings first...![]()

I've done similar things several times...
The best was when I backed my MDX into the garage to put it away. This, after I had been working on my ST2.
BANG.....CRASH....backed right into it and knocked it over.
And yes...the MDX DOES have a rear view camera....
