Curious what the motard guys are running for tires and how you like em.
I have a 160 on there right now (pirelli) not sure if other manufacturers 160 would fit without some rubbin.

Thanks for recommendations.....

Michelin Pilot race medium rear/soft front. 6 or 7 trackdays on them so far, about 500 paved road miles, and probably 100 miles of offroad/trails. Never an issue at the track and the traction in the woods and on rocks is simply amazingI'd buy them again for sure, but I also have a new set of Michelin pre-grooved SuperMoto slicks that are going on next.
FWIW, Michelins seem to run a bit wider than other brands.
Yamaha
Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP. They seem to stick pretty well. Only tried them on the street so far.

'Supersofts' clues me in to them being race tires.Originally Posted by Manny
Yep, race tires. Sorry for the delay Manny, I was shredding those tires at the track for the last 2 days. I put Graham's take offs on my bike. He had over 1000 laps on them, and I have done 4 trackdays and a few hundred street miles on them. I can't say enough good things about them. Grip just started to go off a hair towards the end of yesterday, but they really just started spinning predictably. No real moments or anything and I could maintain my pace (22's) I can't wait to try a fresh set!
You the only smc up there, in one of the end garages? I'll have to swing by and say hello next time.

Motostrano carries them and Dave has good things to say about em: "[recommended by Motostrano for street supermoto duty] Our top selling tire! Bar none, the most recommended street tire available for your street-going Supermoto bike. Yes, the 150 rear will fit fine on your DRZ, really. Really! Great street tires and they'll out perform your favorite sportbike tire any day of the week. For regular street riding, or you can even use these tires regularly on the track. Very predictable, quick warm up, rated for your bike's speed and weight, rather than that of a sportbike. As a street rider, Continental aren't the first tires that come to mind when targeting a supermoto tire- but realize that sport bike oriented tires are made for heavier faster bikes, not your little light weight SM bike with a top speed of 90-something mph. You want these tires on your Street supermoto, end of story. For supermoto bikes it is recommended to have 'H'-rated tires allowing speeds up to 210 km/h. And so the ContiForce SM also has an 'H' speed rating. Perfect handling is ensured by the more pointed casing of the newly developed front-wheel tire. The front tires tread also gives more grip in extreme situations because the tread grooves do not run as far into the shoulder, leaving more rubber for a good hold at the tire footprint. These supermoto tires incorporate a specially developed, softer compound, which also guarantees excellent cold grip versus pure racing tires.Go with the Continental Supermoto tire. Enjoy them."
