Your walking down the street. You see a bike tipped. Gas leaking. What do you do?
Everytime I see a tipped bike I am compelled to upright it. With todays wind, I saw several. However, I never have as (1) didn't want owner to come out and think I did it (2) didn't want to cuase any more damage in case something went wrong in the process.
What would you do / think if you came out and saw someone uprighting *your* bike?
I'd grill them at first. But I'd imagine a non-bikers instinct would to run if they had knocked one over, whereas another biker would be more compelled to remedy the problem regrdless if they had caused it or not.

Probably pick it up..
I hadn't thought of it but I'm lucky mine didn't get blown over. I parked it far from the edge of the parking garage which may have been smarter then I thought.
ROUGH ride home though.
You ride today!? wtf? I couldn't WALK today!!!Originally posted by benVFR

It was still worth it even with the rain... it was fun this morning, and if I'd left work 20 minutes earlier I'd have gotten home fine too.Originally posted by chr|s sedition

But it was 45 & calm & clear when I walked out to the bike. While it was warming up the front came in.. the temp dropped like 10 degrees and it went crazy.
Going through Lexington the power was out and the emergency crews were out. Add in the traffic jam and the rain and it was a bit tense.
If I'd worn the appropriate gear it'd have been a lot better...

I'd definitely pick it up. Done it twice before not including the time Clayton and I picked up Kahm's bike in NH after he watched it fall over!![]()
And if people start shit after you do them a favor and pick up their bike, punch them in the throat and then kick the bike over on the other side!
I rided too. The wind only pushed me faster it was like free horsepower.Originally posted by chr|s sedition

You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
I would flick my cigarette right into the leaking gas and then laugh my ass off.

if it was leaking gas i would call 911. if it was just knocked over i would take the time to look for the owner. he or she might be in a store or something close by. i think if i couldn't find the owner i would leave it. you don't know that the kick stand isn't f'd up or something. plus if its windy it might tip again causing more damage.
if it was a yamaha i'd back my jeep over it![]()
Depends if I had to pee or not.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
got 2 it b-for the owner & he had carbs so you know it had 2 b picked up still would not startfor like a half hour

But, how would you feel if you came out and saw a female righting your bike?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Yeah especially if it was windy out as wellOriginally posted by Stoneman

I felt so bad for Kham. Brand new bike with no real reason to fall over.

If I saw somebody's bike tipped, I would upright it, and probably leave a note,
I have had someone pick my bike up before (my XV920R) after the kick stand sunk into pavement, it's a nice gesture

haha. i actully thought of the question when I was over in London a few weeks ago. I saw a number of tipped bikes there. In yesterdays wind, I saw about two, which reminded me to post the question...Originally posted by sanfelice

Just go for a ride... it's not cold out there and 90% of the roads don't even have sand on them anymore.
And it's supposed to be 55 tomorrow!![]()
I am planning on riding tomorrow, I've been having to run errands that I needed a cage so I haven't been able to ride on some of the nice days we've had, last time I rode, it was below zero a few days before christmas
