About time...
Cambridge cops have 1200cc Bimmers.
The ST had got to be even nicer.
I loved reading that article. This is my favorite quote:
“Harley-Davidson just hasn’t kept up technologically.”
the one sargent sounds like the typical harly tool. " all the power and safty we need and it handles just as well" yeah...ok![]()
Yes, those guys are funny...same ones who think their Harleys are just as fast as them "Jap crap crotch rockets."
My favorite quote: "Even as an increasing number of middle-aged faux outlaws in chaps and fringe — dentists, really — embrace the Harley “lifestyle,”
Kills me how it's a "lifestyle." Guess once you get the bike, then spend a few hundred dollars on H-D branded t-shirts, lighters, wallets, bandanas, you're in the club.
"It is important never to forget where u all came from — becoz black, white, brown or pakistani we all come from de same place — de punani."

1993 Honda CBR900RR
1990 Suzuki GSXR1100
1992 Kawasaki ZX750
1996 Honda F3 Trackbike
Have you ever had a bike cop wave back? I haven't. I suspect them cop bikes can't go very fast. Unless they've developed some aerodynamic chips for their shoulders?
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. - John Stuart Mill
Hey you mean it's not 1977 anymore?
Boston --> San Diego
“The Harley-Davidson police motorcycle is a proven product. They made the first police bike in 1906. It has all the speed and safety we need, and it corners just as well,” he said.![]()

and what hardley gets 40mpg and only costs about 14k?
~ Life passes most people by while they're busy making grand plans for it.~
Switching to performance bikes makes sense. Harley have crappy brakes, wobbles, crappy suspension, and limiting cornering (lean angle of about 33 degrees max). I find my sportster fun to ride, but "fun to ride" is not a basis for chosing a police motorcyle.
