I have this camera and the windshield mount with it. I have placed it in a couple of locations but they all seem to vibrate very badly making the viseo hard to watch (quality is great but its shaking all over the place).
I think there is just too much distance from the camera with this extended mount.
I am looking for other solutions....any ideas, anyone have a good setup?
Mostly for a Ducati 749R but Id like to be able to use it for other bikes.

Windshield mount worked good for me the first few times, then it cracked at the base. Check to see if your's is cracked at the base as well. I have not had good luck with any of the mounts for that camera

A similar question about vibration damping mounts was asked on the Countour forums, and their answer was that the head and neck do a good job at reducing vibrations, so they suggested to just mount it on the helmet.
I finally took my Countour out on the track, and it worked fine stuck to the helmet. I know it's probably not the answer your looking for, but it is one option!

Does the camera have a bolt hole in the bottom to fit a standard camera thread? If so build something out of RAM mounts.

Just make sure not to video tape the po-po in Mass or you might get pinched!
I havn't had mine on the street yet, or even the track. The mount worked OK on the ice while on my helmet, but once I get into the trails on the dirtbike, it sucks and I have yet to get a video worth saving. The goggle mount is OK as well, but still not up to the shock from riding trails. The sticky mounts, suck as well. Even when clipped in, the mount still has play in it which makes for shaky video.
I also have the extra mount that accepts the 1/4-20 thread that I have yet to use. My expectations though are not high, as again, it's not a perfect fit to the camera.

Also... I found that instead of locking the mount halfway down the plastic fingers (where it's supposed to be). Push it all the way to the end.
The halfway point seems to have a little too much play in it which amplified the vibrations.
