The Art of Winning....in the Big Time.

Just caught part of an interview on Speedvision with Rossi.

    Interesting comments -
One of his most favorite things to do on a bike, is make it slide. He goes on to say that with the new tires and chassis these days it’s a bit different, but he really likes the last laps were he can slide it. (Must go back to his dirt track days. I assume some of you have noticed his old habit of starting to put a foot out before a left corner)

The other favorite part is the acceleration.

Racing a bike for him is 75% fun, 25% business.

I wonder how much his enjoyment of sliding a MotoGP machine at 100 mph plays into his ability to run course setting times in the last few laps of a race.

Workload for sale. Job sale possibility. Caretaker needed for housework and entertaining kids. I need some time back.

A steady job and a family has ruined many a good biker.

You should check out the movie "Faster". At one point they had biofeedback hooked up to Rossi & Biaggi. Biaggi was tense and had rapid heartbeat, Rossi was mellow and heartbeat was low. He was just enjoying it out there.

Also Gary McCoy's slides....he just slides all over the place; that's his style. Hilarious.

Yep, I had Faster, but lent it to a friend too long ago...

The Gary McCoy style of riding...hell I don't know...there aren't too many folks that buy into that being the fastest way around a track, even though he won doing it. But he also has more titanium in his body than my bike does.
