    Finally Nailed it down!!

Last night I went out for a little while and nailed down "coastin". It's weird... it just happened. I think practicing the coastin on my little XR 50 helped me. I mean, the last time I attempted coasting on my 900, it was a joke. Plus, I've only been on my bike for about 2 hours since July 4th

Well, I'm excited and coastin is fun as HELL!!!!!

    Lata,

But when we ride very fast motorcycles, we ride with immaculate sanity. We might abuse a substance here and there, but only when it's right. The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. If you go slow and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.

When I go down a hill I take both hands off the bars, hold my arm out to the side and go "I'm an airplane!!! Weeeeeeeee!"

    LMAO!!!

    beamused basically got it right!!

It's basically a regular wheelie but you ride it to a balance point where throttle isn't needed. It's looks like a 12 o'clock without touching the tailsection. You want to find the spot where you have more weight transfered to the back of the bike. Typically weight is heaver on the front of the bike, so throttle is needed to keep it up. This is when throttle isn't needed to keep you up, but more the brake is needed to keep you from going backwards. So in a nutshell, you lift the wheelie past the forward weight point, pull in the clutch, and coast with no brake and no throttle. The motor sounds dead and you can free rev for a few 100 feet while balancing a wheelie... coastin.

It's so damn fun!! I'm excited I finally nailed it down. I'll post it up when I get some footage.

    Thanks Guys,
    Bri
