Kind of like how in Japan, the police solve 98% of homicides because they never investigate the ones they can't solve. I think police don't like to admit that some people are just terrible fucking drivers. They'd rather turn every accident into a PSA.

Thats your problem. If your vehicle is in a proper state of repair it will want to go straight by itself. Just let go of the steering wheel and text away.

Doubt it was texting, looks like drunk or sleeping. Sometimes when i USE to text I would be completely off the gas and just coasting with my foot on the break driving with my knee. Its dumb and dangerous eather way and I dont do it anymore.

That's not a texter, that's a drinker or sleeper.
Or MAYBE they had some other sort of medical condition that was messing them up to the point that they didn't realize what the hell was going on. Diabetic perhaps?

Personally, I think the whole texting while driving thing has been completely blown out of proportion. It's as if people think it kills as many people on the road as drunk driving or something. It's not. Jane's right on, it's as bad as any other act that distracts you while driving. Some people can't walk & chew gum at the same time... others can. SOME people know how to fucking prioritize their multitasking (of course, sadly, most don't)

They should ban changing radio stations and fumbling for your sunglasses as well. I bet those two acts have killed many more people than texting has. As always, one should know their own limits, and if not, natural selection will take its place.

Girl I work with thought the same way about texting that a lot of people do about texting.

She totaled her car into a tree last week while texting. She's alright, but freaked at how fast it happened.
