meh...let the R1 lead and see how the M3 does
it's all wrong. they're on the wrong side of the road.
"fuckit!"
sweet jesus. those two riders should try the Isle of Mann. M3s are amazing cars. some of the best handling you can get. a friend of a friend took me for a ride in his through a 40mph s bend that he hit at 100mph. i was amazed, and scarred that on the right turn my passenger door wouldn't be able to hold the force of my 215lb body being thrown to the outside of the corner! i've never felt lateral Gs like that. So those riders are skilled if they can keep up with a car like that through those high speed corners and even overtake the car, given it has 8 times the rubber on the ground and no worries about front end tucks.
yeah, the M3s are pretty serious machines. one of my buddies has one, but only really putters around in it (kind of a waste)
obviously it depends on driver/rider skill and roads, but i'd say 7-8 times out of 10, a well handled (pretty skilled but nothing approaching godlike) car will be a similarly piloted motorcycle. some of that might be due to knowing there's a massive cage shielding you when you fuck up... you either need balls the size of grapefruits or brains the size of a golf ball to really exploit where the bike has the advantage.
hurray, strikethrough!
