As of late I decided to cut down on my drinking. That means I get bored at night and often go for rides. So at about 11 I go out for a quick 20 minute loop, unaware of the weather to come. About half way through my ride I get hit by a huge storm. I had no where to get cover so I decided to try to get home. I started going up Main St and noticed the street lights were out. I see a car in a driveway with its lights on facing out so I flick off my high beams. As I get closer, he flashes his lights so I instinctually look over at him. I then look up and *BAM* there's a downed tree. I'm pretty sure I yanked the clutch and brake, but it didn't matter anyway. Right into it I go. Fortunately for me nothing touched my head, can't find a nick anywhere in my helmet. Unfortunately, I was not wearing my jacket. The front wheel hit the trunk of the tree and my left forearm took the brunt of the damage since it smashed into a large limb. The large limb stopped me from going over the handle bars and I landed on my downed bike. I'm pretty sure I broke my slider off with part of back, then landed on the bolt with another part of my back where there's a bit of abrasion. I got up and quickly got away from my bike since I noticed there were some downed power lines. They weren't live, if they were, I wouldn't be sitting here typing this. I agreed to go to the hospitol because I did not know if my arm was broken or not. It isn't, but I do have minor muscle tears in my very swollen forearm.
So, that said folks, WEAR YOUR FUCKING GEAR and if it get's really shitty out, get the fuck off your bike. Oddly enough, there was another Asian guy in the ER who had the same thing happen to him.
And now on to the good stuff, pics:

Glad you are ok dude! Almost took the bike out last night cause it was so warm, and i felt jealous all day doing house crap seeing everyone out on their bikes, decided against it cause i saw a couple flashes of lightning, not 5 minutes later we were getting nasty wind, rain, and hail! Feel better soon!
