    half a DucDave

Ordering up one of these bad boys later tonight once I decide on size 40 or 42...

Teknic Freeway Textile Jacket at BikeBandit.com <- best price anywhere online that I could find.

100% waterproof.... Reviews say it's warm down to 35*F with liner in... down to 20*F with heated vest... and comfortable up to 85*F with liner out & vents open and the high collar is removable. Sounds good to me

In the pics on bikebandit it looks a lot more yellow than "high vis".... here's some actual photos & a review by a customer.

indeeeeeed.... been lookin for a nice versatile jacket like this for a while now. Spotted this jacket a couple months ago but didn't like the price tag at the time... but when I saw it for $210 shipped on bikebandit earlier tonight I pulled the trigger.

Now as soon as I find some way to make my rear blinkers visible while the saddlebags are on, I'll be 100% invisible to the cops
(and 3.5% visible to cagers )

    Re: half a DucDave

...if you ordered the bottom would you have a whole DucDave? does that mean there'd be two of us???

    DONT DO IT....

Good choice though! It may not be 'High Vis' but its a lot more High Vis than black...or whatever! And the ability to have a single piece that you can layer, heat, and shed rain is priceless...congrats!

I'm telling you man, you should have gone with the Fieldsheer Adventure setup. I've had mine down under 30 degrees and it was awesome (no electrics!).

    Awesome looking jacket anyway

    Jacket looks nice... and bright.

Really I've found it makes ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE what you wear, how loud your bike is, if you're waving and screaming at them... people won't see you or pay attention to you anyways. And with that mindset is how I ride.

me too.... i just like shiney things.

Seriously though, i'm not just buying it for the "high vis" color, I'm also buying it because I want something waterproof, comfortable & more versatile than my Spidi leather jacket.

    Re: half a DucDave

Oh man... this jacket is BITCHIN It's got enough yellow, but IMO, not TOO much yellow. And POCKETS... FUCKING POCKETS EVERYWHERE!!! I'm really diggin this thing. Probably coulda gone with a size 40 as the sleeves are a little too long, but the rest of it fits good, both with liner in & out. With a 40 it might have been a little tight w/ the liner in.

Can't wait to ride in to work today
