The sun is shining the leaves are colorful and on the road
I am cruising on a very small road and wooomp the front end jumps 2 feet in the air.
Steering gets heavy and starts tracking
Rim has 1 side bent up and tire is flat. I was able to pump it up but it didn't hold air on the way home.
so
Anyone with direct HAPPY experience with some one who straightens rims
Guy at www.framestraightsystem.com claims 4 mil accuracy for about $140 in Tennessee
well there goes the money for front end mods. Might have been low tire pressure haven't checked in a while as a cautionary tail

yep... i'll give MC Wheel an ATTABOY...
Thanks that's who I'll use
I've seen their work on a mangled Duc rim, MC Wheel does good work.
I've used Framestraight before. The bead surface will be machined to perfection and the wheel will track straight and true, but when you spin the wheel, you'll most likely see where the repair was done. Unless it's a minor bend, the wheel will likely crack as they're straightening it, so it'll be bent back into shape then welded. It's the weld material that you'll see. No matter how well it's ground down, the repair will be noticeable to some degree or another.
Having said that, you should note that I'm OCD, and extreme anal retentive, so I eye fugged the ish outta my repaired wheels, LOOKING for imperfections. You will probably never notice it once you mount it, but for the money, you could probably find a replacement on ebay for roughly the same.
had wheels and rotors done at MC wheel and always been happy

Safari cycles said they would get me used for 175 they started at 250
The dent is on the small side and am sure it can be fixed on the easy side
There is one guy in SC that got a good review and wants only 65 instead of 120 and up
I'm thinking I'm thinking
Putting her in the basement today and will have the rim in my hand. I am going to examine the rim once the tire is off. Then really decide.
Go to MC Wheel. The guy is no joke, he knew I was driving up from RI. He straightened my front wheel in the amount of time it took me to have lunch. They are HIGHLY recommended.
I get offended by people who cry they've been offended
I've used Will's Rim Repair. he couldn't do the front for some reason even though it didn't look bad at all. Still have the rear he did but never used it because I ended up buying a set of cbr1000 rims for a decent price. the repair looks good though. the dent wasn't really bad but it had to be welded also so it cost a little more.

I left Will's 2 messages and asked for a call back.
Haven't got one and am not gonna ship the rim not knowing whether they are operating or not

I had MC Wheel do 2 of mine and one for my friend. Did all 3 while we waited... Great work, smelled pretty bad but hey it was Swanzey... his door bell is an explorer rim with a dead blow hammer hanging from it!
But yea go there, the job will be done quickly, right, and for a decent price. Try the doorbell too, its a good stress reliever.

the first wheel I had them fix was my front SV wheel, I rode over with it on a Saturday morning after they had been partying the night before, no one was there, I gonged on the doorbell, ended up leaving the wheel with the car dealer next door, I recieved the wheel repaired via UPS on Tuesday, I was in no rush, it was a spare wheel, bent in 4 places, $100
the second wheel I took there was my rear SV wheel that the caliper went thru, 6" gash, needed welding, they had an almost identical damage repair in stock, $125, only difference it's from an SV that had dark wheels instead of light wheels, my scottoiler makes a light wheel look dark anyway![]()
