Going to get a front stand. Mainly so I can take off the front tire and bring it up to Jim to have him put the new Pilot Powers on![]()
Which is the better type? Paddle or the head? I know that with the head one its easier to do fork work. Which would you go with?
I'm going to go with the Powerstands one. I have the rear and am really happy with it.

go with the one with the pin in the neck. More expensive but also MUCH more stable and you can do work on the forks if you need to.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
no way dude that stand sux ass. that's what i used when i put up my f4i and bam! it fell overOriginally posted by hessogood

Go with the head stand, it is the best and if used properly your bike will not fall! Ask all the racers, they will confirm this!
Jamie
The neck stand is $139
The fork stand is $129
Now.. They have a combo that is BOTH for $175
Worth the extra? Is the paddle type just 'easier'? Would I ever find the need/want for the paddle type over the neck style? Yea its only $35, but I've already spent a ton, and I'm not even 1/2 way done shopping![]()

never use a front stand without a backstand. It says so on the instuctions. (yes I'm a man and I read instructions)Originally posted by elaineo

JamieWhat he said ! Thats what I have and it is extremely stable, & I can use it without the rear stand and not worry about it falling over.
I would not suggest getting the fork stand to anyone. Not very stable at all, especially if you will be working on the bike while on the stand..

I have a LP front pin-head type stand and a LP rear stand. I can be on my bike pretending to lean all the way over with a knee out and the bike doesn't tip while it's on both stands. ROCK solid.
Just the rear stand? A less-than-friendly glare will make my bike cower on the ground from fright.....

Easy there you little lightweight furball of a ZRX rider
Take it easy on us not so small riders. Though you may be able to out accelerate us, we among the heavier group theoretically should have significantly more traction available to us!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just had to pipe in from the 300# + crew................
Happy Holidays to all from the jolly fat guy!
