Yeah, I know, it's a liter bike and they're not supposed to be comfortable, just fast as hell.
Since I haven't had a single bite on the 1000RR, I decided to try again to make it comfortable. The Woodcraft rearsets weren't working for me. Since they moved the position back and up, it forced me to sit more forward in the saddle, due to how much my legs were bent.
So, enter a new pair of rearsets. Found a set of Gilles Tooling AS31GT for under $450, shipped, brandy new. These allow for a 60mm back, 20mm down from stock, which is where I put them.
I just got them in today and mounted them up. I haven't taken it for a spin yet, but initial impressions tell me that it may definitely change where I sit in the saddle.
I may still end up picking up a set of the Woodcraft bar risers as well. I think I made a mistake putting the racing-style clip-ons on there. It's an easy enough fix though.
The gold doesn't match the gold Pazzos I have, but it does match, almost exactly, the top of the forks.

I have a set from my gsxr you could have for like 200
if the diameter is right
Little funky but 5 minutes from race to touring and back
Streetfighter, then put some big ole MX bars on there. That'll comfort ya right up. Just watch the wind resistance, though, its kind of a bitch.
Went for a short (25 miles) ride this evening. First impressions are good. With the balls of my feet on the pegs and my knees gripping the Stompgrip, I sit in the center of the saddle, without having to push myself back.
This is a good sign.
Sweet deal Chuck...saw the pics on FB and I was like "Guess he's not selling it, those are spendy bits!" They look hella good too. How bout a full shot with those mounted?

Interesting to see. I just put woodcrafts on my 1000rr and its tough to keep my nuts off the tank. I haven't ridden in full leathers with this setup though. Does the stomp grip really make a big difference?
You Sir know nothing of true greatness. I of course refer to ones ability to steal, drink and generally do nothing, and carry it off with style
Can you have your seat re-shaped? Make it a bit more flat? I've used these guys and had great luck:

They could potentially raise the seat a bit, and flatten it out. That would give your legs a bit more room, and reduce your ball-smash.

There’s just engineering, skill, and luck.

Those rear sets look very nice. Those are my favorite out of all of them. I apologize for any residue I left on them when I saw your bike in the lot...
