So basically Hampton Beach with a shit ton of bikes. Cool to see that many bikes, but I probably won’t go again.

There was a steady flow of motorcycles Friday on my home and Saturday when we were out & about. Although it was pretty mellow yesterday (Sunday). We rode up to Conway to visit Ed (Pinhead) early afternoon, then rode down to Weir's around 6:00pm. Very little traffic at that point. The only time we had to stop were for traffic lights, and we were through them in one cycle. Down through Meredith was less crowded than a typical summer day. We got right into one of those ridiculous "biker bars" at Weir's and there was plenty of stand around room. In & out like just about any other day.
We'll have to try to catch up. We'll be at Gunstock Wednesday. The boy wants to go check 'em out this year FINALLY. We should be there most of the day. I'm hoping this sparks some interest in him getting involved in some sort of off-road racing. The kid is incredible on dirt bikes & wheelers as it is. I REALLY hope this pushes him.

Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Little late to the party but I believe there were some exploratory design efforts to expand the layout and incorporate some of the already paved access roads in the back. I’m sure the cost was still too high, but NASCRAP and IndyCar run road courses too. Why not build a proper road course that would support local and National racing?

In the early days of NHIS, they ran Indy cars on the oval. After a hiatus, they brought them back for one year. I can't remember the year, but Big Shirl & I got ride alongs in Indy cars just before the race. HOLY FAHK! Again though, this was all on the oval.
I'd love to see a world class RACING road course there. The only real interest on their part seems to be NASCAR & country music festivals though. I don't see any of that changing.

The locals are going for a BIG ride this weekend. Barnstead to Weir's Beach. Sounds like super fun...

I dunno. I can do 200+ miles on a tank. That's a decent spin.
While we know some back roads in & out, it's doubtful given what the traffic may be.
My loop to Weirs Beach was over 150 miles Sunday. Route 153 up to visit Ed (Pinhead) in Conway. Then Route 16/113/25/3 into Weirs before heading home. I met up with my peeps at High Octane (Formally Broken Spoke) around 6:30 or so. They were AMAZED I put on those miles "just to get there".
I don't consider time spent in the seat really for gauging how long a ride is. I prefer miles. I've spent all day "riding" and barely done 60 miles!![]()

to me, a "ride" minimum, is a couple hours and fill up the tank at the end
my "winter" ride route takes me right thru the Weirs, a 100 mile loop around the lake, I have done as cold as -12°f
