Some of you saw my FB post yesterday. I had an F250 pull out in front of my and I put the HD into his front fender/door area. Aside from a possible broken wrist I am ok, sore as a muthafucka but OK. The guy was upset and said he didn't see me, told the officer he didn't see me and kept appologizing.
After my ambulance ride, 4 hours of preventive x-rays, cat scans and ultra sounds I was released and headed to the Police station to get the other drivers info. It was only then I got pissed, he has a Motorcycle Endorsement on his License!
So Be Alert out there and look for other riders AND think, cause they aint looking out for you.
Glad to hear that you got away relatively unscathed when it easily could have been so much worse. Hope it's nothing worse than some soreness for a couple days and a few easy things to fix on the bike.
Stay safe out there this season guys and gals.

The real kick to the nuts is if he had one of those "motorcycles are everywhere" stickers too.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Glad you're okay; hopefully the wrist isn't broken. I know all about the fun of a broken wrist...
This time of year especially, I'm paranoid about other drivers. If I see someone on a cross street or parking lot even looking like they might be thinking about pulling out, I roll back on the throttle, cover the brake, and prepare to swerve. The bitch is you can't always see the bastards.

Not sure on the bike yet. I want it totalled the frontend is a mess.
Rossco it was on Rt40 The driver pulled out of BP to try and shoot down Dunstable rd.
I did notice him had downshifted and was covering the brake. When he did decide
to pull out in front of me all I had time to do was pitch the bike into a slide to try and lowside, I hit him at an angle so I wouldn't go over the handlebars.
Pete, if I could hold on and use a clutch I would have borrowed a bike today just to ride.
That sucks, especially the sticker. Heal up soon dude!
I use the 50-50 rule... 50% do not see you, 50% are aiming for you.
Works for me. Also see below.

FYI - Since I installed my incredible (I love it) Nautilus horn, I hit it when I see a prospective t-boner lurking at a side street. I think it triggers a survival reflex deep inside some primitive part of the human brain... the instant I give them a nice blast, I watch cell phones disappear, heads whip around, eyes agog, stomping on their brakes. Now, I'm not an invisible bike, I'm a 90,000 pound, 18 wheel juggernaut. Every bike needs one. I don't care if it pisses off the innocent, because I am a 650cc, two-wheeled classroom for the awareness ignorant.

I must say, I am happy I installed a Nautilus on my Sprint. People definitely notice it.

Glad you're ok Shep. Here's the thing. He probably didn't see you and that doesn't mean he wasn't looking or was negligent. Sometimes we're hard to see. (...he might have been a dick anyway)
We gotta watch ourselves, expect the unexpected, and do what we can to make ourselves more likely to be seen...

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
accidents happen...
I have almost done this and made it a point to catch the guy and tell him "Man I ride I just didn't see you in my blind spot." Usually results in a caring look and handshake.
A rider u-turned in front of me in 1986 and I totaled my RD and flipped over his car, before I could stand up he's right next to me apologizing and bought me a new bike out of pocket, told me if there's more than a sprained wrist let him know, gave me another $500 for the wrist and we had a beer the next month.
Glad you are all right!
