    Controlling new bike fever

I've been bikeless since the middle of last summer. I made it through the remainder of the season and winter was a piece of cake. Now I am getting the itch though. My bank account is pretty low after closing on the house and filling it with furniture and all this boring crap. Now I need my toy back!!!

I think I'll be visiting the dealer in search of one of these. I want to wait till June to pull the trigger, but my self control is fading...

    Here's to being bike-poor.

i loved the 636.... untill the new R6 came out.... SHHHHHH!

The major brand 600's are all just so damn good... if i was goin for a new bike I really couldn't eliminate any of em w/o goin & seeing em all in person first.

Good luck keepin your self control

I feel your pain. Trying to save for a house, new baby, etc...

While I do still have my bike and I do still want to ride...I'd rather be riding a different bike - 3 seasons with the Seca is really enough...but I have a feeling if I sell it (which I think I have to) I won't be replacing it for a long time, which sucks.

I didn't really have the itch all winter but today after the warm weather yesterday and hearing the engine turn over (a much easier process than last year) I've got it bad...
and with the races on TV in a little while I can't get away from it!

    Controlling new bike fever

Yeh I love the 675. Problem with that is the closest Triumph dealer is 3 hours away. The Sprint ST had a lot of small issues that had the dealer involved a lot last year. I'd rather have the proven Jap quality and a dealer 5 mins away. Maybe I'll have to go check it out in person to change my mind.

I think I'll be able to score a killer deal on the 636 cause its not "brand new" this year. Just read about the new R6 in BIKE and they said even the old R6 will pull away from it on the street. No balls down low.

Also thought long and hard about the new gix 750 but the extra $1500 or so is better spent on replacing my aging gear.

The GF has given the OK but she is waiting on a ring so I have to tread lightly.
