Seriously what would it take to get AMA racing back into NHMS?? With the declining numbers at the races over recent years why hasnt this been addressed??

It needs to be safer.

They've made a TON of safety improvements since the AMA left back in... '99? But it's still not up to the level that the AMA wants it to be to protect the best and fastest roadracers in the US. Getting them to come back would likely require building a whole new dedicated road course (like the one they had in the words before the economy shit the bed). I don't see the AMA coming back to ride on the oval/road course hybrid as it is currently designed.
