Today I saw a White Ford Explorer Sport 2 door with someone pulled over. So I figure why not share info so we know what cars the Staties have so we can avoid a ticket. Here is what I have seen.

White Ford Explorer Sport
Silver Dodge Intrepid
Gold Dodge Intrepid
Dark Blue Ford Mustang
Dark Red Ford Expedition
And the obvious Crown Vics

This doesn't have anything to do with local popos but in Kentucky they have a Porsche 911 as a DARE car.

They do have numerous Mustangs and Vettes as staties as well.

I have seen a black navigator in revere a while ago racing down rt 16 with his lights on, don't know why though.

Anything u.s. domestic market these days, saw an msp colorado a few weeks ago, and most of the cars above at some point or another. It's getting trickier - used to be anything American and boring with a dark smoke tint was leo, but that damned navy blue intrepid I see on 93N all the time in Methuen has all clear windows, no visible flashers, just strobes/wigwags in the regular lenses..nothing suspect except for a ~3" radar dome in the back window and two microantennas beside it. It's also the first intrepid I have ever seen that actually moves too.

With all the anti-terrorism stuff out there now you will start to see more and more unmarked vehicles as well. I beleive there is also more lienency towards various people with response-oriented positions (whether or not its law enforcement) getting strobes and the like.

The mass pike also has an old 5.0 Mustang at is disposal. I do the mass pike every day, and I've seen a lot of the new mustangs and the Intrepids. And of course any time you see any crown vic, regardless of color or markings...

While it was a Crown Vic, tinted rear windows etc................
It did have a curious plate:

The Bruins BR: xxxx plate on the back.

Car was dark in color like black or Dark Blue. May 30 sighting

Phone the *77 State Police and ask the dispatcher if they have a guy like this, driving that, with these tags etc.........

No cell phone? Then put the flashers on and DRIVE ON to a populated area like a 24hr gas station w/ people or find the police barricks.

Yeah I have seen 2 or 3 of the specialized plates (red sox/bruins thus far) on unmarkeds. I typically see most of em downtown though, 495..good to know.

Saw a Florida plate on an unmarked that showed up to an accident I was in, road rage unit or something of that nature. He left (no injuries, and was not a road rage incident). The arriving (marked etc.) MSP cruiser did confirm it was an MSP officer in the Fl. plated car, however his duty was not std. traffic control/incident response...

So far in Vermont all of the unmarked cars I have seen have red municiple plates on generic American made cars. Not much of an indicator, but if you are paying attention it can keep you from blowing past them.

Yep, in VT watch for the red plate on an unmarked car. 90 percent of these unmarked cars will be police cars. The other ten percent will be corrections or other government (local/county/state) "fleet" cars.

I saw a 02 Red Ford Tuarus with a car pulled over, plain ole tags and flasher all around hidden in the head/tail lights and flashers in the front windshield... Looked like a regular old family car??? Man those pricks are gettin sneeky..
