Laconia Bike Week and Radar Traps

Just passing along a friendly warning ..... watch out for police presence along all roads leading to Laconia, once you enter New Hampshire border. I have never seen so many radar traps and unmarked cars. They are hidding everywhere. In one town, there was a cop on a bicycle with a hand held radar gun hidding behind a tree. If it wasn't for a car coming in the opposite direction warning me, I would have been pulled over. Avoid a ticket and keep the speeds down.

I was in NH yesterday and need to add, they are not only in the laconia area, they are everywhere. I think in addition to being a major fund raiser for the businessess it is also good for police revinues. I hope they don't get writers cramp.
On a serious note, I also saw a bunch of ambulances and firetrucks running all over the place. The roads are packed this year. Ride safe, and pay attention, lets hope the worst casuality this year is a bad hangover and a bunch of brain cells....
