What are you guys doing with old helmets?

Its time for a new lid for me but i really dont have the room for one. Ive got to get rid of 4 or 5 helmets that are taking up space. They arent worn anymore but they just are too nice to toss out. Cant sell them for someone to wear either. Anyone have any ideas for a use? I might strip the shells and part them out. Cant really display them anymore so thats out.

I would line then up in the basement/workshop for fun...right by my beer bottle etc lineup. I just moved and built a new shed, I'd hang a few if there are extras kicking around. I wish I had the house before I got rid of all my misc car parts..I would have made more stuff out of them.

i do and i have done that. I collect video games so they go around an entire 15x15 room's edge. I can squeeze one up there but thats it. Truthfully im not sure they are worth it for me to keep around. It just seems a waste to toss them and i really dont have the room to store them.

No eBay my friend. I have two glass cases where I put my old helmets. I consider it decoration.

I throw them away most of mine get ruined at the track. I have one Shoe that I have been wearing on the street for 20 yrs. Can't kill it.

I've heard of people donating them to Fire Departments to use in training (allowing people to learn how to properly remove them in crash situations).

I've owned both the RF700 and 800 Nobby replicas, the 700 I sold as it was too big. The 800 is in a case in the dining room.

If i only had a gun. I think im gonna see what the dirt bike kids around me want since almost none wear helmets to begin with. I have a really nice shoei rf700 with a ruined liner and a rashed pheonix arai that i will probably give to one of you guys for your collection. Id love to keep them as decorations but i have better stuff to use as decorations.
Now to buy a new helmet since i have that cleared up. Really want a shark but no dealers at all except online means no trial fit for me.

Absolutely. They are not safe enough for me, they aren't safe for anyone else and it's a helmet not a work of fine art. I don't care what you think about the cool paint job, they made thousands more.

I have enough junk in my house, I don't need to be storing an ugly, odd shaped piece of plastic and fiberglass. I cut the D-ring strap off and took it to the transfer station to get incinerated.

I sign my old helmets "Valentino Rossi" and sell them on Ebay for 1,000,000 Euros.
